Bungie would probably make a ton of money if they sold raid weapons and armor, judging by these little treasure boxes people would definitely throw money at the screen. I think what people don't understand when it comes to spending real world currency on virtual items, is that it is based on one's own perspective of the value of the content. I personally don't believe any of the 500 silver emotes are worth the silver you trade for them; therefore, I don't purchase them. Just because I have the money to spend on something doesn't justify purchasing that something. I'm not saying I've never bought something on impulse but it is self-destructive to let it motivate all of your purchase decisions. You can afford to pay more than what is valued for lower value things like micro-transactions, and you may even believe these items are correctly valued. It's all about your perspective. Regardless, how you spend your money is your decision but your decision DOES affect me and I hold on to my right to criticize your purchase.
