yeah it was awesome. I didn't even do it on purpose, I just had my cryptarch on the edge and didn't want to push over until update day so I had a ton of engrams sitting around.

All my sublime engrams decrypted into new exclusives! New warlock > old warlock

2 AntwortenRegardless of how they decode, it is worth holding onto the engrams around an update to rank up the Cryptarch because his rank up gift will have new engrams that will decode higher.

2 AntwortenIt's true; In the past old engrams gave old loot, even after an update. It would not have raised many flags if it was the same. Despite this, people try it every update just to make sure. And hey, this time it worked. I was lucky enough to have several exotic and legendary engrams saved up. Not with the intention of getting 320 weapons, but instead so I could level up and get a package. (Which I got one of the new emblems from, I might add) Call it dumb luck, call it being on the safe side, it doesn't matter. The past is the past.

You are proving you're a newbie. Anybody who was here through TDB, HoW, and TTK and tried to hoard engrams knows that this was never the case before. Literally [b]NEVER[/b] the case before now. You can't be a noob if you knew this was [b]NEVER THE CASE BEFORE[/b]. Getting bit in the ass by using past experience to make assumptions like this doesn't make you a noob, it's just bad luck.

Do not worry. The forum members who claimed the engrams would not decrypt into new items with the new light levels have been summarily executed.

Well it has been that way for a long time. Maybe it worked since it was an update and not a full DLC

I was kind of happy when I discovered that all the packages I had earned and left alone still had new stuff in them.

I had saved a lot of these and got some very nice loot. I'm still laughing at all the people who told me I was dumb for doing that. Last laugh...

2 AntwortenI turned in 47 exotics today. Went from 320 to 324 within 5 minutes Of signing on. What a joke. 328 titan, 326 warlock, 325 hunter. ...and I only did new content plus a raid from golgoroth on. Should be 330+ for trials. Here's to body shot kills.

Since all of the last updates this wasnt the case it was pretty logical that this would be the case for this update as well. RIP all those engeams I coulve saved
