So for me to get an LDR 5001
i need to buy a faction rep booster ....
So that's not pay to play ?
Edit :Just watched some youtubers complaining about it just came here to get some answers . i haven't played since Feb . Just wondering if this new update is really worth it ?

You don't need the faction booster to rank up, & the odds of you getting the booster for whatever faction will give you LDR is going to be [b]LOW[/b]. Destiny is & always will be pay to play. The update is free, so every second you spend playing it is worth it & then some.

Umm no. You can grind out the faction just fine without a rep booster. Keep in mind the ldr is getting hit with all the sniper nurfs also. So while it'll still be a very good gun. It's not going to be back at its old glory.

Nah its just your ldr and other yr 1 goodies are hidden behind faction packages. Boosters will def help you in acquiring them, but not neccesary

1 AntwortenNo...you have to simply level up your vanguard rep like you normally would. Which will go faster with the update. But obviously boosts would help. We just don't know how much. Plus you get 3 packages a week for free that can contain them too. It's random, even if you buy them. As for whether or not the update will be worth it...I mean, it doesn't cost anything...so probably. Not sure it's going to be great but it'll probably be fine

2 AntwortenNo. If you want to waste $20 to get more than 3 sterling treasures a week which have a tiny chance of giving a rep booster which helps get packages slightly faster which have a chance to give a y1 weapon...not pay to win

All you have to do is spend money and you will win it all. [spoiler]most ppl will just play the game and do bounties and get one that way, but you didn't seem that bright[/spoiler]

9 AntwortenNo, you do not need to buy anything. You get 3 packages just by playing the game and those have a chance to have a vanguard or crucible rep booster. The only pay to anything is pay to skip some grinding. Nothing more, nothing less.

do you need an ldr to play? do you need an ldr to win? will those with an ldr have some advantage over those without? no. therefore, not pay to play or win... its pretty simple.

7 AntwortenFactions will not give out the updated year 1 weapons. That only comes from crucible and vanguard packages and there is no buff that increases it's rep gains, but nice try at trolling.

Or just play the game like you have been for over a year and a half and get one like any other weapon you've received from a vanguard package.
