So as we're all aware the update is going to allow infusions to be 100% for any gear that you infuse so the bottom line is every Tom, Dick and Harry will be a 330 or 335. The guys who have been grinding for the last year working hard at every raid to upgrade their light level will be in the same boat as a guy who started playing last week. So my question is for all those who are going to be 335 which it seems everyone will.... will you play the game? Apparently you could purchase the gear and just Infuse it so after two or three weeks what's the sense of playing or grinding? Do you feel it's going to be the end of Destiny? I do.....
Yes
No

Is it much different than etheric light bringing vanilla weapons up to max?
-
Lol dood, it's going to take a lot more then an easy rout to max level to kill destiny bro.. We only have to wait 4-5 months till the next big content drop with new activities. And I'm sure there will be live events in the mean time. ToO players will continue to play every weekend and crucible is fun enough to play now and then. iron banner is really when I play PVP The raid is always fun. You don't always have to play for rewards. If you are good enough at the raid you can just have fun with 5 random people and have a conversation.

1 AntwortenIMO, the infusion update is a good thing because of elitism in Destiny. It's hard enough meeting the often ludicrous demands of LFG Hard Mode, but it's even worse if the only way you can reach 310+ is wearing gear you can't use properly. Maybe this way more people can enjoy the harder parts of Destiny. And that's really the goal of any decent game: for the most people to get the most satisfaction. Game's are for everyone to enjoy, not just those who can afford to spend ungodly amounts of time on them and Destiny excels at that more than damn near any other MMO I've played.

They want to promote silver

I've been grinding forever and I for one don't care. I actually like this idea because it was always a pain in the ass to infuse things that you want to keep at a high level.
-
Before TTK everyone was max lvl and the game was 10x as popular.....
-
At first I wasn't sure about, but if more people enjoy the game and play. I'm fine with it.
-
So are you against more high level people? Why? Doesn't this widen the potential pool of end game activity candidates? So why on earth would you be opposed to that? Seems like your concern is that it will somehow invalidate all of your hard work. To be honest, if you care this much about what other people do in a game, then maybe you should take two seconds and reevaluate. If being special in a video game matters that much you might have some deeper issues.

1 AntwortenIf you're the type to look at everything glass-half-empty, then the game isn't for you. It will continue to evolve and change throughout, whether or not you or I or anybody reading this plays it. Bottom line is there will always be someone playing, and enjoying the game. I, personally appreciate the free update and am looking forward to it. What other people's light levels are and how they got there is none of my business, nor does it affect my personal experience with Destiny.

Are you seriously bitching because you chose to sink time into trying to hit max level? Good lord open your eyes and find something better to think about.
-
Did everyone quit when they were forever 29 and when HoW dropped everyone got 34 in 10 minutes? No
-
I think its a good thing, i dont play a game to endlessly grind levels, thats -blam!-ing stupid. what i do do is play the game to get mor eguns, this game has great guns because they all handle diferently, and with perks that differentiation can be increased. what i do? i play to look cool, get great weapons/gear with the perfect stats/perks...and then play pvp. grinding for levels is not fun nor rewarding.

Well i dont really care about max level and its not what keeps me playing so no

2 AntwortenVanilla's 'Forever-29' era was ended when Crota's End came out, that was probably the easiest time to reach max light level. And no one cared, big deal if everyone was 32 in just a couple of weeks it certainly cut down a lot of the elitism going around. I'm skeptical it will be that easy really, back then you only needed 4 pieces of armour. Now you need 10 items to be 335 in order to reach that as your overall light level. But it should certainly be easier than the damn TTK/Kings Fall era. After 7 months a hell of a lot more people should have been max level, Bungie are atoning for that now and I for one have absolutely no problem with that.

No but if it means the last of the speacil snowflakes finally melt and go away fine. Besides back in vanilla when everyone was 29 no one whined about being the same level as everyone else.
-
6 AntwortenI don't think its going to be super easy to hit 335. Not like when HoW hit, It was so so easy to hit 34.
-
Dude I had a friend who was a 34 day 1 of HoW so I can't get any worse than that. I personally as a year one player feel that this new infusion system is a step in the right direction
-
Yes I will play the new content for a month probably and then move on to other games. I'm not happy about the constant nerfs and this last content drought so I think I'm ready to be done with Destiny at least for a while
-
Get a grip. Probably less than a week from tomorrow BUNGIE will b nerfing something 335.
-
Lol I don't even know how 2 respond to this

Are you seriously trying to imply this isn't a good/needed change to the infusion system!? The current state of endless grinding and getting no where is what's killing Destiny. This change will promote a more diverse player base, we don't all have to run around in ugly raid gear anymore. We can now bring up multiple weapon and armor sets. 320/335 is not the end of Destiny. If you love the game you don't play an endless grind to reach max level then say ok I'm done! It's variety that helps keep the game alive, the same unrewarding repetition is what kills it. Endless grinding of the same stale content week after week after week only to be abused by RNG and the HORRIBLE infusion system is what killed Destiny for me. This will actually help bring players back!!
