I'm more hyped for this than the April update itself!

If you're the guy that uses Thorn, a year 1 gun in a YEAR 2 playlist, then don't even bother replying, ya?
Feel free to use it in Y1 Playlists and all but DoT primaries have been removed, nerfed and destroyed in other games as well.
Anybody who's played more than shitty FPS console games would know this.

So the popular bandwagon today is that I'm inherently ruining PvE by asking for nerfs.
First off- I haven't asked for a single Nerf since the hand cannon meta. I've only agreed and disagreed respectively with nerfs and buffs after they've been passed.
Even if I did ask for said Nerfs-- which I didn't-- you are placing the blame on the wrong person. The fact Bungie can't separate PVE and PVP nerfs is beyond me.
Oh and anybody who uses Thorn in PvE enough to the point where you go on a period when the DoT is reduced a little bit due to the excessive general usage in PvP should honestly just break their disc or uninstall the game.
I won't tell you how to play a game you paid for or anything, but seriously guys? Thorn being nerfed is detrimental to PvE?

Bungie should have separate damage tables for pve and pvp, that way when they adjust the numbers for either side the won't be affected. Also I don't agree with nerfs, they should buff things instead.

Im happy that mida is being nerfed too. The flinch is so annoying and tired of getting killed by it. Ive never seen anyone use it in raids, strikes etc because it is average at best in pve.. so if you re complaining about this, i dont care :)

And before people get salty that I'm a 'nerfer' Thorn is the only weapon I've ever advocated getting a hard nerf into the ground. D.O.T primary weapons shouldn't exist in any pvp game Nades?heavy?supers?melees? I wouldn't mind a secondary that had a [u]chance[/u] to cause dot as long as it's a cqb secondary and not a sniper All perfectly fine Primary? Nope Nope and triple nope lol You shouldn't have 60 chances to reach out and touch someone at range and cause damage and shut down health regen for 15+seconds, that's an eternity in pvp play and gives an enormous advantage to your opponent, especially if more than 50% of the team are using it TDB and HoW pvp was the worst pvp ere imo, every single 6v6 game had at least 3 people running thorn, 3v3 95% of the time it was 100% of people were using it, it was shocking to see any other weapon in trials or skirmish or salvage or even rumble Imo they didn't nerf it enough, I wouldve preferred it if they also made the dot only proc on crits I like what they did to snipers too, but as usual in typical bungie fashion they went too far and nerfed their ammo and stability also....in both pvp [b][i][u]AND[/u][/i][/b] pve...wtf dude. The scope in time and zoom increase was enough Idk why they had to fcuk with stability and ammo also, and in both pvp and pve. Bungie wields the nerf knife like a sledgehammer when a scalpel is needed most of the time

If people used Thorn purely to get DOT kills then they are as much of an idiot as you are! I'll still be using Thorn as my main primary, only now when I kill salty little sieve heads like you I won't get tea bagged. Actually I probably will because you're an idiot! Thorns DOT will still stack, so that's 24 damage above it's based damage that Thorn is capable of dealing. Anyone who's seasoned with using Thorn knows that you don't rely on the DOT, it's just a nice 'perk' Thorns rate of fire allows you to pump your target with 4 shots quicker than they are able to kill you. I can't wait for Thorn to still wreck you and you come running back to the forums to cry some more!

It's still a hand cannon. It still fires. . Therefore it still kills as with any weapon good bad nerf ed or buffed who cares. Just makes it even more irritating if you get killed by it lol

I see a turd using it every now and then in the crucible. The worst was when the Thorn was in its prime in year one. My god I hated that gun so much during that.
