Dear snipers, get over it.
No one and I mean [i]no one[/i] feels sorry for you and the piddly little nerfs you're getting.
Seriously, 3 scopes slightly lengthened and 2 extra frames of zoom? Add in that they lowered revive shields and you all got a net buff.
Shotguns, ARs, Pulse Rifles, Hand Cannons, Fusion Rifles... All nerfed to where all but single archetypes were complete garbage.
Fusions went from awesome, to decent, to holy -blam!- I have to aim a foot left of their knees to hit a body shot (and had their range halved). Then when everyone stopped using them, they added even more muzzle kick.
So I'm sorry, but unless you're suddenly being required to actually aim and time shots... and from the tester in the video pretty much exclusively using a sniper for CQC, I'm guessing that isn't the case... I think you'll be fine.
[b]Edit: a large number of comments missed that this post was in response to the pvp complaints about them being ruined because they wouldn't be effective in CQC.

1 AntwortenNo one is complaining about the extra frames though...... People are complaining about the nerf of special ammo, which will affect PVE pretty badly...... No offence but I think you've missed the point somewhat.....

2 AntwortenIt's either being sniped in the head from a distance that annoys people or being slide shotgunned. People always find some fault with Destiny, never seem to be satisfied. Remember when you would unload on someone with a Primary and they stand tall by one blasting you with a Fusion Rifle? That's a thing of the past.

And this isn't the first time that this has happened either. Bungie does dumb little things to control how people choose to play the game. You bought the game. Paid with your money. And bungie periodically steps in every once in a while to make silly little changes to control how YOU play. That's pretty ridiculous. There needs to be an aspect of the game where bungie seriously just takes care of the things that are [u]actually[/u] OP or game-breaking, and then just let's the rest of the game be, and allows the players to play as they wish.

12 AntwortenNot the best sniper admittedly but I switched from fusions because I got sick of getting sniped so I started doing it back most scopes that I've tried make my eyes twitch(personal issue with one "good" eye and one "bad" eye) sounds like I might be wrong but my defiance of yasmin will zoom a little closer now? Its the only scope I can use effectively because it doesn't overly zoom and the borders transparent to watch my sides or when the target jumps out of screen I can still follow smoothly...anyway just my random thoughts. But is my yasmin going to zoom slightly more or just the more popular snipers lol

1 AntwortenThe scope changes are justified. Snipers aren't scout rifles sorry not sorry. The ammo changes will only hurt pve players and that's really dumb for things like raids. Also the Thesan FR4 roll this week with braced frame and hot swap and underdog is incredible and will only get better with the accuracy buff. Sadly it's the only good fusion rifle I've played with since plan c.

1 AntwortenI use Tacsys scope anyway so that doesn't affect me, ammo count will piss me off, and I almost have full stability so I can live with that change. I don't have snapshot on my sniper, and I don't run round quick scoping anyway, so the nerf isn't too bad for me.

I destroy longviews and shortgazes with tacsys... Thats the reason I was so excited when I saw the nerfs. It only benefits my snipe game
