I understand the issue of 2-shot crit killing someone on a fully automatic hand cannon. However the gun does require a skilled hand to consistently train hip fire shots on someone. Especially when mid-air, or on moving targets.
The gun has 8 bullets, I'd say its fairly difficult to kill 2 full health enemies with the same clip, even with bonus hip fire damage.
Removing the hip fire damage, this is near impossible now. Even if you hit every shot, wielders are going to get mowed down by the Doctrine, regardless of that weapon's nerf. I should be rewarded for training hip fire last word shots on someone when that bullethose of a weapon rewards anyone with a terrible potato aim.
The only way this bonus hip fire damage can be compensated for is by increasing the mag from 8 to 10. I'm an avid TLW user, I'm pretty -blam!-ing experienced with it. And I'm telling everyone right now, the gun is gonna be nuisance to use successfully. Unless you can train headshots only, be prepared to be completely outgunned by DoP.
Not a justified nerf IMO.
Rip TLW after April 12th, nice job Bungie. Keep destroying perfectly fine weapons.
Edit:
Exactly as i expected, everyone who posted who was glad for the nerf is your typical doctrine wielder. When no other primaries compete with Doctrine and the good players actually start using it and bullethose nothing but crits, Bungie will destroy that weapon too. But enjoy your time now that they give you scrubs.

Because making it kill a bit slower is so bad. It'll still be one of the fastest killing weapons in the game.
-
Honestly I'm pretty glad it's getting nerfed. This isn't coming from a doctrine user, but rather from a nlb user
-
TLW should have stayed in year one with thorn to begin with, especially after those two guns were ridiculously overused for months.
-
TLW doesn't care. People spam you down with three rounds half the time anyways.
-
Thorn is ruined
-
Honestly it needs to go it's dominated PVP for far too long....
-
No weapon should have a 2sk on precision as fast as tlw fires.it will be fine. I use it and I really didn't like to hear it but it is what it is..its not ruined.just takes a little more skill.

WHAT IS LOVE
-
Well to be fair no one really used the gun for the two head shot and try to be accurate as possible. It was always paired with a sniper when you get a body shot then spam the thing until one shot hits to kill. I'm pretty sure if people loved the weapon I'm sure they will still love it just no two shots.
-
Just wait see how it preforms. Till than can't really say if it's nerfed to much. Besides everyone knows pending how the tweaks to pvp in the update means there will probably be a new meta anyway. And you can follow them who find it.
-
I rarely saw tlw being used in crucible. Didnt see it as a problem
-
You do know that this is like the 3rd nerf and it's still used right. It will be fine not as good but still deadly in the right hands.

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Tamed: 4/11/2016 6:25:02 AMTLW nerf will just lead to more people using/complaining about DoP and MIDA. It'll still be good, it just won't be as noob friendly. This will lead to more people gravitating towards high RoF autos like DoP when using a sniper. Also the fusion buff/sniper nerf will lead to more people using shotguns and fusion rifles and MIDA is a great to pair them with. Hawkmoon will be probably complained about as well, that's what I'll be using along with MIDA.

2 AntwortenI wrote this somewhere else but it applies here too
It feels like Bungie is out to make skill mean nothing tbh. I mean look at the last word nerf. It's completely unnecessary. They nerfed the exotic perk because you can potentially 2 tap someone but the only way you can get two hipfire shots in a row is if; A)You're a god B)You're Lucky as fuck C)You literally shoved the gun into someone's mouth and hipfire twice If anything this hurts the gun in pve before it does anything for pvp.
Bearbeitet von SolarCerberuS: 4/11/2016 8:00:23 PMShould have just reduced its range to around sith lord melee range personally I rarely use it but to remove the perk entirely what it it being replaced with? thats right nothing........ exotic status removed.

Having a fully automatic hc is enough even without the damage buff. You acknowledged that the 2 shot headshot was a little ridiculous so how else would you propose they change it? A 3 shot kill on an automatic hc is good enough

Perfect!

Welcome to the ever changing meta that is bungie kiddo. I feel ur pain...first my suros got canned and then my Nerwin was next. All I can tell you is adapt and overcome big guy...and while I have no doctrine to throw at you, my hatchet will be happy to shed u up :)

Dear god do you want to tear your knuckles down And succ yourself Dear god can you climb off that tree Meat into the shape of a 'T' Dear god the paper says you were the King In the black limousine Dear Deej and all the King's men Can't succ your head together again Before the bullets Before the flies Before the Ninjas take out my eyes The only succing are you dolls that I made But you are plastic and so are your brains Dear god the succ is as blue As a gunshot wound Dear god if you were alive You know we'd succ you Before the bullets Before the flies Before the ninjas take out my eyes The only succing are you dolls that I made But you are plastic and so are your brains

The nerf will ruin TLW = hopefully

2 AntwortenFirstly, doctrine is getting a damage reduction. Secondly, tlw was a ranged shotgun and also required no skill. Good riddance if you ask me... so sick of this meta. And no I never used doctrine or its like. Pulse rifles ftw.
-
As long as it carries the same hit detection as right now, it should still be a beast. Although the nerf + Aggressive ballistics nerf (we all know what you were targeting bungie) might be harder to control. I'm ready to learn or move on to the next meta though.

1 AntwortenUr retarded If u think tlw takes skill lol. Hitbox on that gun is ridiculous and I can spray. It's obviously a crutch
