The Last Word Nerf Will Ruin the Weapon
I understand the issue of 2-shot crit killing someone on a fully automatic hand cannon. However the gun does require a skilled hand to consistently train hip fire shots on someone. Especially when mid-air, or on moving targets.
The gun has 8 bullets, I'd say its fairly difficult to kill 2 full health enemies with the same clip, even with bonus hip fire damage.
Removing the hip fire damage, this is near impossible now. Even if you hit every shot, wielders are going to get mowed down by the Doctrine, regardless of that weapon's nerf. I should be rewarded for training hip fire last word shots on someone when that bullethose of a weapon rewards anyone with a terrible potato aim.
The only way this bonus hip fire damage can be compensated for is by increasing the mag from 8 to 10. I'm an avid TLW user, I'm pretty -blam!-ing experienced with it. And I'm telling everyone right now, the gun is gonna be nuisance to use successfully. Unless you can train headshots only, be prepared to be completely outgunned by DoP.
Not a justified nerf IMO.
Rip TLW after April 12th, nice job Bungie. Keep destroying perfectly fine weapons.

Exactly as i expected, everyone who posted who was glad for the nerf is your typical doctrine wielder. When no other primaries compete with Doctrine and the good players actually start using it and bullethose nothing but crits, Bungie will destroy that weapon too. But enjoy your time now that they give you scrubs.

TLW will be just fine. Why? We are not relying on the 2 shot lucky critical kill anyways. When it happens, it's like finding a four leaf clover, seriously I'll go weeks without getting a 2 shot kill so does it really make that much of a difference? Are you really hoping to get a 2 shot kill every engagement? Soooo.....what are we left with now? We're left with a hand cannon that has an extremely fast ttk. Not to mention it looks -blam!-ing cool amirite? Don't forget it's two biggest competitors [i]doctrine and mida[/i] received nerfs in this update.

4 AntwortenTLW has like the highest fire rate of all handcannon's and is a three shot kill. Whereas handcannon's with the lowest fire rate in the class and are still a three shot kill. Cool.

As if Bungie cares. Their only concern is making sure everything kills at a slow pace, and isn't popular. They'll completely trash it if necessary. That seems to be their philosophy, unfortunately.

I think it's quite sad how guys are complaining about a gun that is literally a former shadow of what it was in Y1. It just shows no matter how many nerfs invokes there will always be players finding something to complain about next.

It's well deserved. And my favorite weapon in crucible is the pdx41 and first curse so you can't pull the "doctrine card" on me.

Its not really nerfed, most people can't hit headshots with it therefore everyone's experience with the gun will be pretty much identical. Anyway, 8 bullets is plenty for a multi kill if you are using your grenades and melee as well.

The whole point is to explore other options. Use Smite of Merain, I have put down many TLW users with it and I have also used TLW before. It is actually OP which is partly why I moved away from it, I knew I was always better with a good Pulse Rifle and because I use Chaperone in my multiplayer weapons set. It was a good exotic while it lasted but I think Bungie made a good call when they nerfed it.

Before you exclaim and outcry that the weapon will be useless after today, you're jumping too far into a conclusion. Try it for a day or so here and there. I've scored my kills with the weapon almost entirely on body shots. I might suck in the crucible but the weapon can get a kill at any point it needs to.
