Now, we've all seen the 1000 Yard Stare and other sniper rifles, most infamous sniper rifle in the game that is used. If you get a great roll on it, you hit the jack pot. But, one of it's defining..." Perks " is that it has aim assist on it. Aim assist...on a sniper rifle. Why is this bad? 1. With the aim assist, when aimed at an enemy or player it will slow down helping you get a better shot, and the range and impact for it is HIGH for the 1KS. At 59%. May not seem like much, but it just doesn't seem right to have this on a sniper rifle or any weapon at that. 2. Mind you, no scope sway or bullet drop off. 3 It just makes Trials of Osiris just a pussy cat and mouse game to see who gets the first headshot out. I fear sniper rifles more than shotguns in Crucible, and friends of mine agree it they need to be fixed a bit. In the update, I hope they do fix this and add at least scope sway or bullet drop off to counter-react this.* Before you wanna comment and say the same as as everyone else that I am a moron, click the link and look at the poll * Thanks.

27 AntwortenThe worst thing about this post is that there will be a whole bunch of people that will believe OPs crap. He doesn't understand how Aim assist works. It's on 99% of console games. We don't have mouse and keyboard. Our method of aiming is inherently inaccurate. It lessens the inaccuracy of thumb sticks by slowing down the reticle movement over points of interest (bodies, vehicles, etc). It does NOT aim for us in any way shape or form. It does NOT track a moving target. He doesn't understand balance. We have characters that punch the ground to kill people, or summon elemental weapons to incinerate people with. Realism is not the priority here. Take your bullet drop, sway, battlefield style sniping requests somewhere else. The very minute you make snipers too hard for a casual player to use them, is the minute shotguns dominate the game. 1k yard stare is only as popular as it is because it's a damn vendor weapon. Us destiny players don't want sniping to be the manhood measuring contest that CoD and battlefield currently are. The other thing I find disturbing is the nerf trend. Some people find snipers easy to use, so they want to nerf them for the whole lot of us? Let me tell you a secret: all the weapons are easy to use. How come you not complaining about hung jury? Or invective? Or doctrine of passing? Or super good advice? Or bad juju? Probably because you use them and you're under the illusion that you're just skilled. Guns are easy to use. That's the point. That's why we have abilities and powers to counter/better them. This game is not all about the weapons. It's about your ability to use everything at your disposal (weapons, abilities, class strengths, and surroundings) to stay alive, play the objective, and kill.

Another OP pretending to know what AA is and how it works. "Closes Eyes"....... "This is not the post you're looking for. Move along, Move along"

2 Antworten1kYS has an Aim Assist of 56. Stillpiercer has an Aim Assist of 51. Weyloran's March has an AA of 94. It's a decent sniper. Yes the crucible is over saturated with it, but it's not broken. Just easy to get and the vendor roll even has decent perks on it.

So if you want bullet drop. It should be at every weapon.

My Ldr is coming back :')

1 AntwortenYour really gonna enjoy longbows return if you think 1k is a prob

Bearbeitet von Newbold1: 4/10/2016 9:44:01 AMThe 1000 yard stare has middle of the pack aim assist when compared to a lot of sniper rifles in both year one and two. An aim assist value of 56, a year one LDR has 49 or a Longbow Synthesis has 53, which are its most comparable alternatives. It is also considerably less than another high impact year one sniper, Shadow of Veils with a value of 69. Other snipers such as Defiance of Yasmin have much higher aim assist values, but are much less complained about, why? The 1000 yard stare is so popular for two reasons; it's one of few high impact snipers in year two (Eirene and Black Spindle being examples of others) capable of a revive sniping, and it is given to you as a quest reward with a great set of perks. As for what aim assist does on snipers you are quite right, it slows the scope down over a target but does not give bullet magnetism. With primary weapons, aim assist does give bullet magnetism. A typical argument is to remove aim assist, on a console game that's ridiculous since joysticks are nowhere near as accurate as a keyboard and mouse so removing aim assist would make crucible largely unplayable. Ever tried shooting your friends in PVE when they are moving? TLDR: Aim assist needs to be on weapons, the aim assist on snipers is no more a problem now than it was in year one. Snipers seem OP because primary weapons do not seem to flinch snipers, and other secondaries are less effective than they once were. In addition to this, an extended time to kill on most primaries vs year one makes people gravitate to what kills quickest, and that's a OHKO weapon, hence why you see a lot of snipers in year two. In year one there were a lot more playstyles available with snipers, shotguns and fusion rifles all having a place. The crucible is kinda passive now but snipers have not changed from year one, stop whining.

1 AntwortenDestiny maps are way too small for bullet drop.

2 AntwortenEvery sniper has aim assist. Weylorans March has higher aim assist. Pair WM with Longview 10/hidden hand and you have the highest aim assist. But let's just complain about 1kys

1 AntwortenScope sway, I wouldn't mind, I tend to gravitate towards snipers in any fps game and there almost always is scope sway, I feel the ammo nerf was a bit much as it will most likely effect pve too. Although there will be more special bricks dropping, you're not always going to be in a position to find or get them (King's fall and other raids). I also feel it'll really mess up black spindle's exotic perk, simply because it's already a near useless perk but less bullets overall isn't good. On to the scopes, hmm short zoom scopes weren't too bad, perhaps in bias but in some games you can even put iron sights on snipers. The way they counteracted close quarters combat with a sniper is simply low aim assist, scope sway and long ads time. I wish they didn't tweak the shortgaze and ambush scopes. But ehh that's my two cents.

Stillpiercer all the way

1 AntwortenThe thing that really bothers me about snipers is 1.the lack of flinch - Even when head shotting them, they can still get shots off with relative ease 2. The 180 quicksope while under fire. Shouldn't be a thing. Adjust these and I will be happy

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Your Hate: 4/9/2016 1:27:59 PM" i fear sniper rifles more than i do shotguns " You fear snipers? Lol It's a game... I think your taking it too serious kid. You shouldn't fear an imaginary object. Puss

The only reason 1k stare is so popular, is because it is the only sniper rifle of its arch type. And that arch type is really freaking good.

Wait until they bring back the LDR, the tears will flow

1 AntwortenI hate aim assist, but for an entirely different reason. It makes me miss when firing at groups.

4 AntwortenSame could be said for your SUnsinger set up

11 AntwortenSnipers would be almost unusable without AA. This is coming from someone who has sniped a lot in PvP. I know AA is extremely important to making snipers usable. The thing is though, the AA stat itself is very limited in what it does. The difference between a sniper with 40 AA and one with 60 AA is barely noticeable. Take away ALL AA though, and it'd be almost impossible to hit anyone. Try sniping your teammates.

8 AntwortenIs hidden hand the aim assits and short gaze the sniper that is like a aim bot?

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Ibex: 4/9/2016 2:14:47 PMTo all the people hating on OP... while I don't agree with everything he is saying, the AA in this game is ridiculous. Here's a challenge for the ignorant: go use a Gozen-C in Crucible. Don't be afraid. And, when you realise how many of the kills you've been getting weren't really yours, try to put aside your wounded, fragile pride and admit you can't live without all that AA. A morons argument: AA doesn't do that much, stop complaining. Subtext: AA is my crutch, I only use weapons with a lot of it, and I'm scared those weapons will be taken away. After using a weapon with the lowest AA of its class, switching to 1kys is like napping on the job. As long as they're ANYWHERE on my screen, it's a headshot.
