I really don't think the change is going to impact the use of MIDA and it's popularity although part of it's fun was the fact that you could.... sorta..... but not really.... challenge a sniper with it.
I really think they're going the wrong way about things, I know either extreme is an issue but I think they should be buffing other weapons instead of nerfing MIDA/TLW. I guess over buffing everything else just makes for a faster TTK overall which I imagine they want a slower drawn out firefight instead of a counterstrike/cod super fast TTK, but I feel the MIDA and TLW killed at a good and decent rate and the fact that other guns took longer to kill was the problem.
A overall slightly faster TTK balances everything out, it helps with sniper/shotgun "imbalance" (some would argue they're fine) along with allowing supers and heavy to be slightly reigned in without making supers and heavy totally suck.
I'm just curious as to what you guys think of these thoughts, good? Bad? let me have it!

Nah fam, still my baby. <--- Still without a Y2 version
-
I don't think so. It feels the same and does the same damage, people just won't stagger when you shoot them.
-
MIDA is incredibly accurate. It's high ROF meant lower impact, but was compensated by HCR's that stunned the enemy. Those attributes combined with the Agility perc gave you the ability to engage various enemy types simultaneously (multi tool). That has been removed. Real shame breaking the legs of all the guns so TLW and MIDA could shine, providing justification to butcher them. Sad but expected...

I might still use it, but I'm excited to get Hawkmoon back
-
2 AntwortenI don't have HCR on mine, so I will still use it and even if it did, it wouldn't stop me either.
-
Its still my favorite even after a year

I stopped using it in Y1 for the Badger CCL with Outlaw, Hammer Forged, and Firefly. I still don't use it in Y2 for the vendor Hung Jury. It has great perks, but not worth replacing Spindle, Simulant, or Zhalo in PvE. I don't PvP so I don't care what it does there.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Simply Judas: 4/9/2016 6:43:28 PMI'll still use it, I like the agility boost. If I start to miss the stagger effect I might switch depending on the situation. Edit: I generally only play pve. I think it's more is a pve nerf than anything else, unfortunately.

No. Thorn forever!!!! Succ Fish played guitar, jamming good with Wierd and Gilly, And The Succ Fish from Mars. He played it left hand, but made it too far, Became the special man, Then we were Succ fish's Band. Succ Fish really sang, screwed up eyes and screwed down hairdo Like some fish from Japan, he could succ 'em by smiling He could leave 'em to hang Here came on so loaded man, well hung and snow white tan. So where were the spiders while the fly tried to break our balls? Just the beer light to guide us. So we bitched about his fans and should we succ his sweet hands? Succ fish played for time, jiving us that we were Voodoo The fish was just crass, He was the naz With God given ass He took it all too far But boy could he play guitar. Making love with his ego Succ Fish succed up into his mind Like a leper messiah When the kids had killed the fish I had to break up the band Succ Fish played guitar

I mean if it does the same amount of damage I'm fine with the change. Kinda sucks tho. I like Mida and I don't think it's op. Suros DIS tho.... Christ sake!

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Swiftlock: 4/9/2016 6:08:40 PMIf anything, taking away HC rounds punishes the MIDA in PvE more than PvP. High caliber made the MIDA slightly more threatening against snipers, but the real strength that makes the weapon so popular is its smooth handling and the fact that Bungie nerfed so many other primary weapon archetypes into the floor. It's like Bungie just looks at their usage data and makes a tone-deaf knee jerk reaction that doesn't even address the main problem.

Bearbeitet von Willa: 4/9/2016 9:18:21 PMWhenever i bother to come back onto the game, i would still use it. Used it all the time before it had high caliber rounds.

I love this scout. I'm just glad they haven't touched the stats.

2 AntwortenI've used it since vanilla, before it had high calibre rounds, and i'm sure i'll continue to use it. Will be keen to try low rof autos again though!

4 AntwortenMida still has the same TTK. Why is everyone so butthurt about this? Jeez will you guys please stfu. I trust bungies judgment over ANYONE elses when is comes to weapon balance.

Hoping that the Mida becomes a gentlemen's weapon again.

I been stopped using it when RNG blessed me with a max stability suros dis-47 with hidden hand. Now I have one with full auto. The mida is dead to me

no one will use it

I don't think you've been around long enough to realize that once a gun becomes popular people will NEVER stop using it. For example... The Thorn
