It's not a giant middle finger. It's worse. It's indifference. These changes today detail exactly how they don't care how any balancing effects pve, and so shows they don't care about pve players.
Pve players aren't the ones salting your fries at lunch. Pve players have only started being obnoxious when there was no content in months. Other than that, we've been minding our own business.
Yet, we're the ones punished every time you try to balance PvP. Why? Because you don't change just PvP, you make global changes because once more you've shown yourselves to be too lazy to discuss PvP only changes or too incompetent to figure it out.
Oh I'm sure I'll play when the new content drops, but I will entirely reevaluate whether you deserve my money come fall.
Edit: to those saying, how does this drastically change pve? My main bone of contention is when they answered the question about pvp balances effecting pve. They said, "they didn't want drastically different experiences" or something along those lines...
Hello??? They are drastically different experiences! Pve and pvp are no where near the same experience. They seriously just should have said that it's too much work to separate the changes, which is the absolute truth, which again shows either their incompetence to create a system to balance pvp without effecting pve OR their lack of funds to pay more people to do it OR their laziness to put in the effort OR some combination of the above.
Edit 2: one of the better points to arise from this discussion is that they say they want the same experience and so refuse to separate balance changes. However, they never use pve stats when announcing changes...only pvp. Pvp are flat out driving changes that effect pve. This doesn't sound like a joined experience...
Edit 3: since a lot of people are missing the point... It's not that the latest changes will make things impossibly hard. It's the whole idea that they wont change pvp ONLY.

I gotta say I'm actually excited for the challenge ... yeah maybe pve will be a little but more difficult but hey what's a game without a little work to get what you want out of it... that being said I do think pvp is something that does tend to take presidence over the open world aspect of the game... the fact is I have a couple friends who are ex servicemen and they obviously will take the tactical aspect of the game in account when playing pvp (and they don't even like the pvp side they only do it for the bounties) and for that they may be labelled for the weapons they use as a posed to the fact that they have some real skill with the game... has it occurred to anyone that it's not the weapon but the person using it that has caused pvp players to have such a dislike for certain weapons ... I mean the idea of playing a pvp match is if you don't do well a few times then you adapt your style a little... you can't just expect others to suffer with weaker weapons just because you get hit a lot... I mean I'll cop to the fact I'm actually terrible at pvp but every once in a while I like to play just for a change up but I'll admit pvp matches are something that's focused on a little too much these days

Why not actually wait and play with the changes before freaking out? It's my belief that these minor changes will alter pve very little.
-
Agreed 100%, this is at least 85% of the reason why I will not redownload or play the new content nor will I invest any money in upcoming payed DLC's or sequels but I get the feeling that Destiny 2 will go FTP anyway.
-
As someone who plays both in equal measure, it's interesting to see how it's going to affect how things like Raids play out. The requirement for extra ammo armor will be so much greater now. Still, hopefully the ammo block increase makes things better. And agreed on the last point. As this is free content coming (great), i'll be playing. But I'll be watching carefully come september again.

You can use any weapon at all in pve and it will be fine.

Well, maybe this is positive, like dragón age 2 that was so bad that cured my adición to that franchice, i star to feel that my adición to destiny star to fade off, maybe this are the last nail in the coffin.

4 AntwortenFact is, is welcome the changes if I could actually enjoy crucible. Lag and hit detection is awful. So these changes are ineffective because of that.

Maybe they will nerf Dreg !

Haduken bump

Yeah, you told THEM.

Are you really just complaining about the reduced ammo capacity for special and heavy weapons? Didn't you hear they increased drop rates for special and heavy ammo?

Bearbeitet von Tango [DVX]: 4/7/2016 9:16:42 AMyou whine you get nerfed. -love bungie

But all the new content is PVE? Weapon tuning affects PVP but I'm not really too bothered if it takes me an extra bullet to kill a dreg and I do like PVE
-
try to see the positives ARs are now slightly better, Suros has more range thats always good for PvE, Hawkmoon is finally useable again, PRs are better now that means Red Death will be stronger, Handcanons are useable again yay, more Special Ammo drops in PvE

Play the full game problem solved!

7 AntwortenPlease explain how any of the changes adversely effect PvE?

10 AntwortenTalk about dramatic, entitled children. Your sniper gets a little more zoom on only 3 scopes and all hell breaks loose. Guess you won't be able to quick scope that level 10 thrall anymore. Wah! PvE players aren't even good enough to notice the difference between 2 frames while zooming in. I bet the game will feel 99% the same to a majority of players, especially those PvE casuals.

2 AntwortenPve will now be a little bit harder. Who cares. Makes it better to play because it's more of a challenge. PvP sucks when things are out of balance.
-
2 AntwortenBungie talked about this in the stream and said they want continuity between both PvE and PvP. It's a design choice and one I personally enjoy. If you choose to only play one half of the game you can't really complain.

4 AntwortenHere's the thing: PVP players are whiny because they can see how OP weapons are, due to them being killed by them. PVE players are ignorant because they don't know how OP weapons are because the AI can't rage on the forums. You're BOTH to blame. PVP players due to your overreacting, and PVE players due to your blindness.
