It's not a giant middle finger. It's worse. It's indifference. These changes today detail exactly how they don't care how any balancing effects pve, and so shows they don't care about pve players.
Pve players aren't the ones salting your fries at lunch. Pve players have only started being obnoxious when there was no content in months. Other than that, we've been minding our own business.
Yet, we're the ones punished every time you try to balance PvP. Why? Because you don't change just PvP, you make global changes because once more you've shown yourselves to be too lazy to discuss PvP only changes or too incompetent to figure it out.
Oh I'm sure I'll play when the new content drops, but I will entirely reevaluate whether you deserve my money come fall.
Edit: to those saying, how does this drastically change pve? My main bone of contention is when they answered the question about pvp balances effecting pve. They said, "they didn't want drastically different experiences" or something along those lines...
Hello??? They are drastically different experiences! Pve and pvp are no where near the same experience. They seriously just should have said that it's too much work to separate the changes, which is the absolute truth, which again shows either their incompetence to create a system to balance pvp without effecting pve OR their lack of funds to pay more people to do it OR their laziness to put in the effort OR some combination of the above.
Edit 2: one of the better points to arise from this discussion is that they say they want the same experience and so refuse to separate balance changes. However, they never use pve stats when announcing changes...only pvp. Pvp are flat out driving changes that effect pve. This doesn't sound like a joined experience...
Edit 3: since a lot of people are missing the point... It's not that the latest changes will make things impossibly hard. It's the whole idea that they wont change pvp ONLY.

Pve is the game. It takes a lot more manpower and time to put together meaningful content than it does to create a new PvP map. Just got to be patient.

2 AntwortenI hate it when they Terry to balance PvP.

HAWKMOON!!

Personally I'll always take indifference over a middle finger. I don't know what has happened to you in your life that you would appreciate getting a huge middle finger to being ignored. Lol

I am primarily a pve player and I think it's fine.

7 AntwortenThe people you call PVE players are actually people not playing PVP. But PVP players are playing at PVE as much as you do. And about the changes in the game, it's not a big deal anyway. Your super will be less powerful and you will have less bullets in your weapons, so honestly what ? You won't be able to finish the raids anymore ?

If it makes pve tougher, than I'm cool with it. This game needs to be challenging... if I want to take an easy route I'll run patrol. The game evolves constantly, and this really does keep it from getting stale. It might not always be your favorite changes (miss my hand cannon glory days) but it does make it a new experience. I'm going to just say I'm cautiously optimistic about the changes.

Honestly if Destiny 2 expanded its pvp content and had a PoE wave type mode I would be ok if they got rid of the rest of pve.
-
pve division , and pvp only destiny , all i get , there no f , PVE matchmaking on destiny for the good stuff for them bungie to even see what to fix.
-
I like that the changes are the same for both. I don't want to keep track of a bunch of tiny details that are different. The changes for pve are small anyways.

I don't agree with the OP. None of the changes that people claim have "ruined" their PvE experience seem to have ruined PvE to me. I mean seriously what is a Cabal stagger gun? Do you genuinely need a special gun just for that? I use so many different primaries in PvE, secondaries too. i tend to use what I need to get bounties done rather than forming elaborate strategies of "switch to gun C for vandals, gun F for captains and gun G if I see a Minataur" I just point whatever I'm carrying at an enemy and pull the trigger until it dies. Simple. So maybe I'll be more careful about loadout in endgame, but seriously the vast majority of PvE is nowhere even close to "endgame" content. You don't need to fret over loadouts in strikes or on patrol. You have KDs in the 100s or 1000s in comparison to PvP and the enemies are dumb, slow and predictable. Nothing is ruining PvE unless you are so terrible at FPS games that you actually find general PvE activities hard Is anyone going to admit to that?

It's weird, but I don't remember the PVP player vs PVE player toggle when making a character... Did I miss it?

If you have a problem with it, then use different shit to kill aliens with.

3 Antworteni prefer pve mainly because without dedicated servers the pvp in this game is a rollercoaster of sometimes good, sometimes bad, mostly laggy games. pvp was better in year 1

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von SpakulatorX: 4/7/2016 11:48:45 AMJust want to point out, to be a true legend you have to play and enjoy both pve and pvp content. That being said the only nerf I'm really unhappy about is the ammo reserves. It will effect the amount of dps you can put out with the spindle in the raid, particularly on warpriest. I can easily spam 23 spindle shots into the guys head, now I'll have less shots which mean less dps. :(

18 AntwortenBearbeitet von Ouara: 4/7/2016 10:25:54 AMCan you explain what have changed for pve players and it actually matters? PvE is easy and repetative. You don't need nothing special but two tumbs, gear at certain light level, knowledge of mechanics and 2 or 5 friends to do it. No change made in the balance will significantly change PvE experiance. Ok maybe strormcaller crowd controler abilities will a bit less usable. Sunsinger nerf to self-rez? If you die as a sunsinger at pve activity you just look around and stand up when there's noone around you. You hold your super anyways. Rez will take longer? It doesn't matter because in PvE you rez when there's noone around, and in Hard mode you can't rez anyways Weapon balance? Thorn - unusable in hi-light level activities as it's year one TLW - strictly PvP weapon Hawkmoon gets a buff - great as it's only one from those above usable in PvE and more ammo to all hand canons - what bad wit it? Less ammo in reserves for LMG from raid Quillim whatever ? Just pop your synth if there's nothing on the floor 1000 yard the same - use another sniper riffle please. I really don't see any changes for PvE players...

I agree with this.
