More reserve ammo.
Fusion:
Blanket stability increase. Minimum stability buffed to 40% and linear to 100% at max.
Snipers:
-The 3 lowest zoom distance scopes - more zoom (Shortgaze, Ambush, Longview SLR10). This is to dissuade use in CQC.
-Added 2 frames of zoom time
-Snapshot 20% faster instead of 30% faster zoom time.
-Reduced stability.
-Fixed Zen Moment bug not working on snipers.
MIDA: removing High Caliber Rounds as an intrinsic perk.
Suros Regime: Spinning up kicks in 4 rounds later in the magazine due to low RoF AR buff.
Increased range (now +45 range) with Focused Fire, possible to reach max range in conjunction with other perk selections.
Hawkmoon: +10 base range increase. This will make it more reliable to land shots at mid range.
TLW: Removed damage bonus from The Last Word perk. Judging from the live play testing in the stream, it will struggle to keep up mid range against other mid range specialized weapons.
Thorn: reduced DoT reduced (2 instead of 3), reduced duration of DoT (4 ticks instead of 6), reduced Burn effect on opponent screen. Will stay as a Y1 weapon.
Ice Breaker: Increased scope zoom to 6x zoom. Reduced base handling to minimum for snipers. Reduced target acquisition by 25%. Death swapping special weapons no longer works. Will remain a Y1 weapon.

Reduced bonus ammo for Machine Gun Ammo bonuses on armor by 33%
Reduced ammo given by heavy crates in PvP for launchers and machine guns.
PvE increase in special ammo brick drops to counter reduction in reserve ammo for PvE activities.
Warlocks:
Sunsinger- Flameshield armor reduced, frequency reduced. Radiance Fireborn won't last as long. Firebolt/Viking funeral was not adjusted. Designer said the subclass is built on the burn and they could not change it without redesigning the subclass.
Stormcaller- Landfall damage nerf (@7:50 in the YouTube link, you see where Landfall falls just short of one shotting a Warlock in Radiance. Also designer said would not pop the Titan bubble). Landfall won't blind enemies anymore. Less super duration with Transcendence. Slight damage buff to "damage to surrounding enemies" in Electrostatic Mind
Voidwalker- Buff to "Vampire" abilities

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von AviatorSheepSG: 4/10/2016 4:10:30 PMWhy Nerf when you could just buff everything and make everything equal? Also, to those of you who say the PvE players are whining, no, we're not. We are stating that most of the updates here are moreso based around PvP. Since PvE players don't play PvP as much or don't play it at all, we are simply saying that Bungie caters too much to PvP. Destiny was not meant to be another CoD. It was meant to be like Borderlands with Halo-Style gunplay and (obviously) a different story line. So don't treat the game like it's PvP focused because it isn't meant to be like that. Bungie needs to start thinking about everyone; PvP players are NOT entitled.

pvp scrub crybabies ruining the game for everyone...that's my -blam!-ing april update.
-
1 AntwortenSo they couldn't nerf firebolt grenades because it's based around the subclass, but they could nerf sunbreaker super and perks even though the subclass is greatly based around it. Favoritism much?
-
2 AntwortenNothing to see here. Just the crybaby PvP badkids ruining PvE again.

Bearbeitet von Kirby235711: 4/7/2016 11:04:56 PMSign here if you're a PvE-er who's sad about the update. *cries*

24 AntwortenBasically 2 years later, the most balanced exotic in the game, that no one ever complained about needing to be nerfed the first year, gets nerfed, making it not really exotic anymore. Didn't use Mida often, don't see a point to now at all. Well done Bungie, this just shows that anything you do to balance the game causes even more imbalance/crying.

64 AntwortenBearbeitet von jareids: 4/7/2016 3:03:59 PM-blam!- that. The MIDA nerf is disgusting. They removed the one thing that made it great. Now it's not worth an exotic slot at all. It's just a normal scout now Edit: Here's an unintended yet highly likely consequence of this: sniper usage will increase. The MIDA became so popular because snipers became so popular. HCR makes it an effective sniper counter at range. This allows players like me to continue running a shotgun, because I have an effective counter for snipers. Now I may have to switch over to a sniper more primarily just to combat them

11 AntwortenWhat a crock of shit. Decreasing ammo reserves, f uk you Bungie. I was a beta player, so sick of this shit. Quit f u King the PVE players with this PVP shit. Bungie are you trying to drive away what few people you have left playing this game. These constant tweaks are shit, who knows what unintended consequences will happen. Bungie, why is it so hard to separate the nerfs in the crucible with the PVE environment? Why? You're wrecking your own game. I loved this game, the shooting mechanics and some of the creative guns are what's keeping it alive, but good gravy this is getting old.
-
This update just confirms that Bungie has no -blam!-ing idea what they are doing. Just reset the game to vanilla stats, buff shotguns in PvE and pulses in both, and leave it alone. The game isn't fun to play anymore. The crybabies ruined it.

1 Antworten"Augmented through dark practices, Thorn was once a hero's weapon. Its jagged frame hints at a sinister truth: a powerful connection to the unutterable sorceries of the Hive. The legend of Thorn is bound to the rise and fall of Dredgen Yor, a Guardian whose name is remembered with disgust and shame. The weapon was thought destroyed...but rumors of its existence still haunt the wilds." The legend is ruined. Thorn nerfed into obscurity. BRING BACK THE LEGEND, BRING BACK THE THORN.

1 AntwortenNot sure what your motivation would be to recap this (were you bored...lol), but thanks. This is helpful. The change in scopes on sniper is interesting. They didn't say anything about removing the negative aim assist on ambush did they?

57 Antworten
Special/heavy ammo reserve ammo reduced.
This hurts PvE quite a bit...

2 AntwortenNice. It's cool that you were taking notes.

35 AntwortenBearbeitet von RANGERX117: 4/6/2016 10:38:39 PMI did something I have never done. I watched the stream and noticed two philosophical thought processes at Bungie. 1. PVP is more important than PVE. 2. Negative reinforcement to change player behavior. PVE vs PVP weapons tuning: At one point in the stream the dev said that they want the feel of the gun (read MIDA here and the removal of high caliber rounds perk) to be the same in PVP and PVE as much as 1 to 1 as possible but not in all cases. That one case was the last pulse rifle nerf. Damage got nefed in PVP but not PVE. MIDA is the most popular weapon in PVP by Bungie play data. So they nerf it at the detriment of PVE (removed the stagger making it less effective in PVE to make it more balanced in PVP) so they will feel the same in both environments. That is very telling that PVE takes a back seat to PVP. A sad state but it came from the dev's mouth. Weapon popularity: 1,000 YS. Is the most popular special weapon in the game. So to "give" player other options( a quote from the dev) they nerf it. How about buff the others? If a weapon is popular Bungie simply nerfs it to incentivize players to go somewhere else. They want to change player behavior by making something negative instead of making other weapons positive and change player behavior. Game socialism at best.

11 AntwortenThe sniper nerf is honestly unacceptable. Sure, you can dissuade the use of them in CQC while making them ridiculously awkward to snipe with. How about instead, I don't know, the OBVIOUS changes they could make. Flat out nerf the aim assist with the full force of their nerfhammer thus make landing consistent precision shots harder, lower the handling, dramatically increase the recoil, increase ready time by 1-1.5 seconds, decrease reload speed, all of those would make sense. It doesn't make sniping at mid to far ranges awkward, it still allows you to clutch out some close quarters fights but with more difficulty, if you didn't have that aim assist and handling speed that we're all accustomed to, it would be harder to use snipers in close quarters. If the scope zoom alteration is not removed, I will most certainly quit this game. PvP is the only thing that keeps me in this game, and sniping is fun. They're taking away that fun. The satisfaction of getting clutch quick scopes that surprise even you, the moments when you ADS around a corner and dome someone just as they get around to you.

Added more details for those of you who want a simplified version of Thursday's update.

The next patch might actually require you to send a physical message with a pigeon to friends to invite them in the game as well. It will be so easy, you just buy a pigeon, write the message code to allow them to join your game, and send it away! It is brilliant! If you need to chat with a friend in game, you just write a message and he will respond a few hours later - depending on how far the pigeon needs to fly, wind speed, hunters, etc.

3 AntwortenGlad to see high impact pulse rifles get justice back. If I come back, say hello to my old friend "three little words" and messenger

1 AntwortenA couple of quick questions: 1. I haven't seen anything about nightfall, heroic or vanguard strike playlist drops, have those been improved upon at all? 2. I'm just now getting back into things and I started using this Hakke AR (can't remember the name right now) with a maxed out ROF, how will that be impacted in PVE? I know you have the new damage figures but any idea as to how significant the difference is? 3. Is the Lyudmila-D back to normal?
-
I agree, the update is bad
-
1 AntwortenWow, they had no reason to nerf 1KYS... Its just like every high impact sniper but idiots complained so much about it
-
Good job waaaay better then watching the stream or reading a blabbing update post

One of the worst updates yet
