Play Iron banner for fun or not at all its up to you. The future grind will not be to bad after april.
Most of this post is now mute given the details in the most recent stream, no need to worry about grind any more. Play Iron banner for fun or not at all and wait for the April update, its all up to every one enjoy your time on the forums and remain good and positive to each other.

Basically iron banner comes back this week and if you're less than 320 light, run iron banner this week. Improve you're light to reduce the grind later to 335.
Also remember to have fun and enjoy the challenge. Fight for light, Fight for less grind.

Or as XxSKULLSHOTxX suggested run it on the Monday and get the buffs, completing it in 2 hours.
Its up to you all, just have fun doing it.
Edit 2 + 3: Corrected spelling errors in post and title for you eagle eyed readers.
Edit 4: many opinions about doing it or not. If you want to try for better light levels for chests, gauntlets, primaries or heavies go for it. As these will be what the post drops will be like other items like class items are unlikely but possible.
If you play for fun well go ahead that's part of the post anyway and enjoy your games.
Also this is the role for the vendor hand cannon: Relentless tracker and third eye, with small bore feather mag and hand loaded stock. A decent role to go for.
If you want to wait for the update go ahead everyone can do what they want not forcing people to play it's just a suggestion for any players below 305 light. [/spoiler]

I don't see how it'll get people to 320. The odds are slim you'l get 320 gear, even out of the rank 5 package. I'll run it later just because the only piece of IB gear I'm missing is the hand cannon between all characters.

Honestly, the grind probably won't be huge anyways. You'll find 320+ gear all over.

Iron banner is the only time I play crucible. I just find it more exciting.

I'll be enjoying it this week, iron banner is great for me because all the hard word getting that high gear, perfect stats and guns actually matter in IB. Also don't know if it's just me but since the last update/patch crucible has been not perfect but alot better. Less red bars and it puts me into matches at the beginning rather then half way through. Feels a step closer to vanilla crucible...more fun.

I'm just running it in the off chance a pair of d/s mittens with increased melee attack speed and pulse reloader happens to drop. If the stat values are good enough, defense (light) value is irrelevant. Pretty sure I have (or can get) enough infusion fuel to bump them up. Inching my way to a t11 stat build* and that and a better roll on an artifact should be the last piece. [spoiler]t11=tier 11. This is met when your stat distribution of i/d/s fills 11 tiers... Essentially, perfect stat roll gear[/spoiler]

The new poe lvl 41 will have matchmaking and will give out gear to get you to 320. I'm not interested in grinding a laggy iron banner for a very small chance at 320 gear. If I bother it'll either be on Sunday or Monday. After the update there will be multiple ways of reaching 320 then it'll just be the grind to reach 335.

4 AntwortenPersonally Idk because I already have 3 characters 320 but I wouldn't play at IB to get a 320 something. I played way too much IB to see that not happening. Just wait for the update and do the 41 POE to get to 320 stuff or the raid to get up to 330 light stuff. And while waiting just do something else, play with another game or do stuff outside ^^

1 AntwortenIron Banner is useful even without the loot drops. Its a good litmus test for your current build, to see how it goes against everyone else. Which is more valuable than loot for Me.

1 AntwortenI tend to play solo and IB was how I got my first character, a Hunter past 300 light after months of being in the high 290s. It's how I got my second character, a Titan quickly past 300 and I am now playing to get my latest character, a Warlock past 300, and I only got the Warlock to level 40 yesterday. And thanks to a 299 iron companion vestment I just received as a postgame reward and some purchases in the tower + infusions, the Warlock is already 291.

Unless it is a garenteed 320 helm and class item i won't be playing destiny this week, again. -blam!-ing endless 8 month grind to not even be max level... still. Plenty of Hm KF raids and challenege modes, trials, and IB. I stopped having fun months ago lol why i stopped playing and waiting for april update

I'd rather wait for the update so I actually have something worth doing in it other than just running 42 PoE.
