Some people have never played Halo. They jumped on the Bungie bandwagon when Destiny came out. Are you playing because you played the old school Halos and never left? Some people wouldn't even know, but these message boards use to be for Halo not Destiny. Destiny has similar gun play and map design just like Halo. So has anyone actually been around since the Halo days and never left?

Been a Bungie fanboy since Marathon. Those were the good old days. Now kids these days are all "nerf this, buff that, this games too hard." Anyone here who thinks any game that has come out in the last 10 years is to hard, is more likely than not a millennial.

Thats what #offtopic and #gaming are for

I like Destiny because it feels like an update Halo 2/3. I've always loved Bungie because they've always made 10/10 combat.
-
My icon is my Reach emblem so ya

I've been playing -blam!-ing halo since the first, only made an account for destiny though.

Halo and cod for me. A mix of my favorite titles made me jump for joy.

For me Halo Halo 2 Halo 3 Black Ops MW3 Some other crappy cod game State of Decay Then I heard bungie were releasing Destiny and haven't looked back.

I mainly played halo and borderlands until destiny came out. I saw destiny as a quasi combo of the both and thought it looked cool. Played the beta, never looked back. (Except for when the mcc dropped and I spent a solid 3 months playing only that grinding out achievements and beating all the campaigns on legendary and stuff :P)

Im a halo vet (1-3/reach/odst) and beta player (still here unfortunately). And i followed bungie to destiny when it was first shown and hyped up, before all the E3 debacle/and subsequent let down.

Of course, I thought that was everyone except for squeakers

I'm still waiting for a knockoff of zanzibar to come to the crucible.

Halo ce, I played it at a mates house and was hooked, traded in my ps2 for a xbox, preorder every halo ever since, one of the main reasons I got destiny.
-
Halo fricking PC Klanwars scrub right here. You had to lead your shots, that was real lag. I still have my montages. You only needed Fraps back then, is that still a thing?

1 AntwortenYes late to halo 3 but playing since. I wouldn't say the game play is the same though. Destiny is a lot faster and there isn't the strategy of map control with weapon spawns. Also Halo had more variety playlist wise, vehicles etc. But this is only the 1st Destiny so that might grow.

Was the main reason I became interested in Destiny! I remember CE and the hours I put in to that and hoped that Destiny was even 10% as good!
-
3 AntwortenYea. When Destiny was pre-beta I remember watching the trailer so pumped calling it the next halo but better because of the exploration aspect that was advertised.. It does look and feel and sound like halo at times. There's this one sniper I haven't been able to pin down which, but sounds just like the halo sniper too.

Bearbeitet von Qoolqi: 4/10/2016 3:43:28 PMBeen playing since Halo 2. Been on b.net for 7 years. I bought Destiny because I liked what I saw, not because I liked Halo. I knew they weren't going to be exactly the same. Halo 2 and 3 had a much more competitive PvP, but Destiny's is really one of a kind.
