Is anyone playing Destiny because of Halo?
Some people have never played Halo. They jumped on the Bungie bandwagon when Destiny came out. Are you playing because you played the old school Halos and never left? Some people wouldn't even know, but these message boards use to be for Halo not Destiny. Destiny has similar gun play and map design just like Halo. So has anyone actually been around since the Halo days and never left?

I don't see how anybody is joining a bungie bandwagon just because they joined for destiny. I never even knew about bungie until destiny but just because I joined the bungie forums for destiny it does not mean I'm bandwagoning.

Started with halo 3, got Destiny, then got halo CE anniversary

Started with halo wars (yeah I know), then I learned about halo 3 and so forth. Bought all the halo games and went with the bungie bandwagon.

2 AntwortenAll the way from halo 2. That's where I met fun runner crew. Halo 3 was some of the best times with those guys. Played games like teach, fat kid, ghost busters, all night long. [spoiler]not even kidding, one night we grabbed as many people as we could and played until about 6 in the morning. Halo : CE veteran, lost at least 4 jobs because of Halo 2 and been a Bungie forum user for nearly 12 years. Still play Halo 2 on xbc with my oldest friends. Destiny killed the forums for me btw, too many whiny bitches, no offence.

Halo is the only reason I picked up Destiny.

Definitely play Destiny because of Halo. Even with all the added abilities and supers madness Destiny feels more like Halo than Halo 5 to me. I was optimistic about Halo 5 but having played it I can't stand it. I don't know what it is. It just feels and looks all wrong. I know it's 60 frames but I find it visually unappealing. The art design is awful in my opinion.

3 AntwortenIf you haven't had a halo 2 LAN party, if you didn't watch halo MLG, if you don't know who final boss and instinct were, if you didn't see the finish the fight trailer for the first time and get hyped, if you didn't get sad seeing the Spartans die on reach and rage about armor lock... you're not here because of halo.

The only reason I'm on Destiny is because 343 ruined Halo and I can't stand playing it anymore. Destiny's the next best thing.

Yep Halo was awesome... though Im not a fan of the new HALO anymore ... Its become to childish or Ive become to old ... Im no fan of all this super stuff... at least its done well in destiny, but in HALO its a gamebraker many times... and I dont like the maps that are out. Story mode sucks now .... Destiny is 10 times better... EXCEPT for Servers... P2P is most horrible of almost all games on xbox ... LAG LAG LAG... no matter what Bungie does to try and fix it...P2P = LAG ... though I must agree constantly rotating hosts does help a little...but the laggers still have way to much influence on gameplay...

I bought it based on Bungie's reputation of making quality games. I loved the Halos. Destiny is no where near that, and the company is now personally referred to as Bungo. They no longer deserve their actual name.

I'm a playstation guy and honestly just picked it up cos it kinda sounded like mass effect, which it kinda is in a way, kinda what I imagine an fps of mass effect would be like.... except the complete lack of storytelling. But it makes me wonder what halo is like for sure. Ive never played a game before where the guns had so much character and feel. Ive really only played battlefield before for pvp. makes me kinda wana play halo and test it out. I tested out the doom beta and absolutely hated it, thought it was clunky with bad graphics. has destiny ruined me?

Yes, halo never left the xbox until destiny came along.
