Is anyone playing Destiny because of Halo?
Some people have never played Halo. They jumped on the Bungie bandwagon when Destiny came out. Are you playing because you played the old school Halos and never left? Some people wouldn't even know, but these message boards use to be for Halo not Destiny. Destiny has similar gun play and map design just like Halo. So has anyone actually been around since the Halo days and never left?

I started playing Destiny thinking it was going to be somewhat like Halo, well that was a bad idea. I like the game, just can't stand the lag. Reminds me of call of duty.

Started playing halo back in H2 for PC. Bought a 360. Heard bungie is releasing a new game for 360. Bought it.

Been playing since Halo, I was really excited for Bungie's next project so that's why I followed them closely after Halo.

Yep. Played them all up to reach. My brother had the Xbox so I had PS. So I was happy knowing the next bungie game would be for both.

I am. The first level with the Flood always scared the potaters out of me. Wish there was something like that in Destiny.

I bought destiny knowing very little about it simply because I knew bungie made halo and it was revolutionary

I've been playing Bungie games since Halo CE. Just here to comment on your map statement. In no way are Destiny's crucible maps anywhere near as good as Halo's maps. We're even locked out of most the good maps.

2 AntwortenI came from halo. The team that i trusted and made halo, is not here at bungie. I play because destiny does have a fun aspect to it, but this new team deserves no credit cause all the work was done for them when joseph statin and the original team quit

I jumped on from halo expecting that the dev team I loved and appreciated were still here, then when they fired Marty O'Donnell and some of the other OG devs and art design members I seriously started doubting them

I'm with Sony now but yeah I thoroughly enjoyed all the halos Bungie had worked on and believed this game would be great solely on their previous work now this game isn't terrible but it sure as hell ain't no halo

Not Halo no... I'm playing because of the Marathon Trilogy: Marathon, Durandal and Marathon Infinity. Circa 1994/1995... I'm showing my age! I'll shut up now.

Hmmmm I was all PC till early 2000s , doom, wolfenstein, half life unreal quake. My first fps console game was goldeneye on Nintendo I think. But I bought the original Xbox for Halo CE and have played every halo since! Then bought master chief for Xbox one just to play them all again. So I did get hyped for destiny based on halo, and love it or hate it but I've spent way more hours on destiny then probably all the halo games combined!

I loved Halo. I bought Destiny because of it was made by Bungie. No other reason. I have not been disappointed.

Totally. Played halo since the original xbox. I think ive played some of 5 also. Its where I learned some of my early online basics. Friend of mine showed me a trailer for Destiny and we both at the time thought that it might have been a new halo game...boy were we wrong

Yeah, you can tell it has halo ancestors, the game play is so smooth, supers melees and grenades in between your shots. Killing mobs makes you feel like every moment could be a slow motion cut scene it's what keeps pulling me back after playing other games for a while, division combat bored me it's like chess and no jump?! I felt like I had the mobility of Steven Hawking in mud

Still play halo ce on my original xbox. ( I have all 3 connected to my tv. The holy trinity, if you will) 😃😃
