Signs like that are good though because if I ever find myself there I know I can just drive straight on through. How does saluting the flag make you politically incorrect exactly? Portland, Maine was actually deemed the best place to live in the USA. My hometown of Bellevue, WA was rated second.

hahaha.. too funny. As a fellow Georgian, I can easily disagree. Columbus is right next door and has some of the highest crime in the state (2nd to Atlanta), I don't hear too good of things from West Point either. From what I have heard and from statistical evidence of the state, the best places to live are in north-western Georgia in the Appalachian foothills (Like Blue Ridge, GA and Helen, GA (though good luck finding a place to stay in such unique towns)). Supposedly, Canton is a "good" place to live, which isn't exactly wrong, but I don't care for it that much. Not enough young single adults around there. Most are already married with kids. It is quickly becoming another Atlanta Suburban spot.
