... It's not free dlc, I paid for mine!!! Not sure how you people buy things.
It's "free " if it hasn't cost me any money.
Some of you need to get some business lessons or more widely available, common sense.

Edit: I'll write a small example. [spoiler]I have used this today[/spoiler]
I'm on a holiday in the Canaries, I booked and paid for my hotel as half board. Which means breakfast and lunch included.
Now, morning comes and I'm going for breakfast. I enjoy my breakfast and leave the cafe after I'm finished with my breakfast . Did I get my breakfast for free???
Afternoon time, I go back for lunch. Enjoy a delicious meal. Once again, I leave the restaurant without paying. Did I get my lunch for free??
The answer is No!! I didn't get it for free!!!
I paid for the whole -blam!-ing package!

Do you guys also write huge pointless posts on yelp when you see a free car wash that requires you already have a car? The content will have a required minimum light. Those without ttk do not have access to that light level. So they worded it in a way that there will be no misunderstandings like "wahhhh Bungie said it was free but I can't launch it at 170 light". You speak of business lessons but don't even factor in that they only worded it this way as a preemptive disclaimer and to provide clarity about the upcoming content requirements. But I'm only in business and marketing so what do I know.

I know that they made this events to get some money from Eververse so they can "make new content" but I haven't payed a single cent to Eris, never. Which means that, at least for me, this update is FREE

Using your example You go to a hotel. They say "Free breakfast this week, as long as you are a guest." Now tell me, is it free? Didn't you have to first be a guest? Doesn't that cost money? When we bought TTK, we didn't also purchase all these Live Team events, they were just given for free. Especially given how the Live Team are funded (microtransactions). We're not paying for extra stuff, it's just being given to us. Otherwise, I think TTK would have cost a little bit more.

It's free. Just like sodium chloride in the ocean. Or the calories in that burger. I didn't buy that burger directly for the calories. I bought it because it's a damn burger. I'm still getting the fat inducing calories with it. I bought The Taken King for the known content that would be given to us. April update just came free with it.
