Heyooooo gaming, i was very curious about Dishonered and was wondering if some of you wouldn't mind leaving a little review of it if you could it would be much appreciated. I can get it relatively cheap and Dishonered 2 is coming out this year too so yeah, anything would be helpful.
or should I buy the division or Trackmania when it comes out?
You choose what abilities you want (and you will not get them all in one playthrough). Your actions affect future missions. You can play the entire game without an enemy ever seeing you, and without killing even a single person. You can also go through murdering and slicing and shooting everybody in your way. Dishonored is innovative. It took the best parts from other games and combined them into something we'd never seen before. There really isn't a game quite like it. At the bare minimum, everybody should purchase Dishonored simply to support what it did: It had a developer put a ton of resources into a new title without any idea of how well it'd do or of a sequel. But a sequel it got- not through advertising or muttiplayer repetitiveness. It earned its sequel through the sheer fantastic nature of the original. I have also never played a game through more times than I have Dishonored. The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Fable, Mass Effect, etc. All big titles with great replayability- none with the level of replayability Disonored has. Dishonored progresses you through levels. You beat a level, you go through to the next to advance the story. SO when you asked another poster if the game is 'linear,' in that respect it is, sure. There's no way to skip right to the final mission of the game. But in each level, there are dozens of ways to beat it. And I mean dozens. And the HOW of beating the level affects your next levels more than just finishing the level itself does. You really do choose your path. And while the game itself can be completed in around 6-8 hours, you can replay it literally a dozen times without it feeling too repetitive (something which I did do, yes). And honestly a speed run by an average joe can take around one hour- it really isn't that bad of length. The music is eerie and all the sounds in the game are good. Some folks might take a point off for the graphics which admittedly look a bit dates now- but I would chalk that up to persistence in a particular art style that actually CONTRIBUTES to the atmosphere of the title rather than takes away from it. The story is very interesting and while it inevitably leaves you with many questions, it in no way feels like there's something more to be desired. The story wraps up one way or the other and no matter which ending you get, it's still a real conclusion to the story. So the lingering questions are never irritating- just mysterious. So the end result. Should you get Dishonored? The better question, I think, is why haven't you in the last four years already? Rectify your mistake. And I wish you luck in your gaming.

It was a free game for gold members awhile back. Still on my 360 but I don't feel like firing it up. Wish it was backwards compatible.

Dishonored is an awesome game. Bought it for my 360 originally, bought it again as the remastered edition on the PS4.

Dishonored is an amazing stealth game. The way the levels are designed makes it so you can complete the missions in a large verity of ways. It's also fairly long.
