The Argument about the April Update
So there's obviously some argument going around about the April update and how it won't contain Vault of Glass nor Crota's End. A lot are pissed about it, but some are optimistic about getting the PoE back (confirmed by Bungie on stream) for FREE.[spoiler]"It's not free" replies inbound[/spoiler]The way I see it, the update is a coupon. In Destiny's case, Bungie is McDonalds, the cheeseburger is The Taken King, and the ice cream cone is the content released in the April update (the coupon).
So is the April update content free? Yes, just the same as the ice cream cone was free.

We are getting an update to the game that we aren't directly paying for. A lot of games don't do this. The summer expansion should have a raid or most people won't buy it. I can't complain about this. It's not everything I want but they are giving us something to do while we wait for better things.

I can't get over the fact that they have to keep adding new playstation exclusive content like what the -blam!-, why is console exclusive content even a thing!!?

They have not shown that much yet and although I was not a fan of the prison of elders, it's something to do in my go to game. Something is most definitely better than nothing!

My KD is better then yours and I'm just a superior being to you because of it......I'm kidding I have no idea. Lol I'm pretty content with the update. It's basically what I expected. Nothing insane but enough for me to be entertained. Although I'm really tired if kings fall raid. Lol

You guys hate the update right now, we've only seen a 1/3 of the coming update. Next week is gear based and we might get back a shotgun that surpasses OG Felwinters, a sniper that surpasses 1000 yard stare, a rocket launcher with Tracking and Grenades & Horseshoes, etc. But the day I'm looking forward to is April 6. Why? That's when Bungie reveals the changes they'll be making to PVP. My unsalted bags of popcorn are ready to go so I can enjoy all of the salt the forums will produce on that day. Could you imagine how the forums will explode if Bungie announces the following changes on the 6th of April? 1. Sunsingers get nerfed 2. Storm callers get nerfed 3. Night stalkers get nerfed 4. Snipers get descoped on hit from any weapon, melee, and abilities (no increase in hip fire accuracy like in halo) 5. Shotguns get buffed back to Felwinters Era 6. 100% rate of fire auto rifles get buffed 7. Scout rifles get nerfed 8. Machine guns get nerfed (quillms) 9. Armor gives even less heavy ammo, special ammo. 10. Icebreaker regeneration ammo perk is deemed broken and therefore won't work for an untold amount of time (until it gets fixed like the quiver glitch) 11. Shade step and Twilight Garrsion Air step get nerfed 12. Hand cannons get buffed (including thorn)(except hawkmoon) 13. And last but not least: Fusion Rifles get BUFFED, thus Vex Mythoclast is back to being king of the Crucible.

13 AntwortenRegardless of what you or anyone else says... A lot of the people in this community lack logic, and reasoning. Look at all of the people saying that PoE is coming forward, because they saw a picture. That picture could have just been showing off the shader. Bungie has not confirmed, nor denied that PoE is coming forward. This community is really good about jumping to conclusions before the facts are known. It's also really good about showing entitlement. They want it, and they want it now. If it's not what they want, they throw a tantrum on the forums. It's a community full of Varuca Salts. It doesn't matter if the content is free, in your opinion. Someone is going to talk down to you, and argue with you until Waldo is found. Do I consider it to be free? Yes. Is this my opinion? Yes.

1 AntwortenLight level will be bumped to 340, HoW will comeback, Shaders are getting an overhaul and Eva is getting a Faction. The Speaker will sell motes of light. Phogoth will make a return. Blighted Chalice has something to do with the Reef. So far, the strike will take place on a derelict ship on the reef.
