They were invented to cut a man in half through the thickest part of the body. From the shoulder down all the way through the waste. Not to mention they did to people wearing armor. For mobility's sake I would vote for a wakizashi, but it's not an option. [spoiler]I also would have voted Daedric but noooo. [/spoiler]
