[b][i]Edit:[/i][/b] This is a rant. Let me vent. I've been holding this since TTK was released. It's good that they're making more content, granted, but it's not what some of us expected or wanted. I understand some posts, I've read them all. But just think if you're in my position.... Not fun. Lol

Is this really what it has come to? What we call [b][i]Year 2[/i][/b] of Destiny has taken over, making all Year 1 Content irrelevant. Now, I'm not exactly sure who decided that, but let's be honest: That was one of the worst decisions any gaming company could possibly make, including the fact that your entire community has been demanding that Year 1 Content should've stayed and kept relevant.

Now let's talk about this "New Update", which apparently has a "significant" light increase, along with a picture of Guardians wearing updated PoE gear. You honestly got me hyped for the first time since The Dark Below. But what happened? That tweet that was posted recently claims that VoG/CE will not be released.
Bungie, Deej and Cosmo, specifically. Tell whoever is working on Destiny now to follow up on their community, or you're going to lose a lot of players. Your player base is currently dropping, losing players that were once so hopeful for you.
Bungie: Remember Halo: Reach? I know everyone misses gaming like that.

We miss what Destiny once was. The House of Wolves was no doubt the best era in Destiny. Why won't you push yourselves now?
This community is tired of lies, random nerfs, and making things irrevelant, or even not getting what we want until nearly a year after something was released.
MAKE THE CHANGE. WE KNOW YOU LISTEN TO US, BUNGIE. BUT ARE THE THINGS WE ARE SAYING ACTUALLY GOING THROUGH TO YOUR DEVELOPERS?
Support the Cause. Take a stance. Make them see this post. Smash that poll. Prove to them that we want this content back now, otherwise they might just lose their player base, including me.

They didn't say they'd never bring them back, they said they aren't coming back for this update. New content invalidating old content isn't new, that progression model has been around for years. That doesn't mean they can't release "extreme" versions of VoG or CE with updated loot though, it just might be awhile.

All I can think it must require some monumental resources to update the old raids. If there is some sort of technical limitation Bungie should just say so. Is it really that hard to change some numbers for the enemies I.e from 28 to 41?

2 AntwortenOnline patches & fixes... Worst things to ever happen to video games, I miss when you were sold a finished product and could learn it inside and out... They've changed this game so much since launch & somehow made it much worse.... Everything that benefited the player was nerfed to hell & back, guns too strong? Reduce your mag size, scale down your damage, gjallahorn, getting good loot? nerf loot drops, nerf 3oC, nerf nightfall, nerf 320 spindle, too much activities & fun?? remove strikes & raids, made irrelevant most of the cool guns, rerelease old guns as new guns, rerelease old content as new content... I honestly could never get back into this game for fear that whatever I end up liking is going to get nerfed & removed as always. Things we never ask for get implemented with the swiftness, while community request go ignored or put on the back burner for months without any type of recognition... This game is dead.

11 AntwortenI remember a post where people bumped and signed for vog to return - it had loads and loads of hits Cozmo replied saying he'd take it back to the table Perhaps What he meant was, the table legs are wonky and the print out of the petition has been used to wedge the dodgy leg? Lol So in fact he did take it back to the table! Seriously I think many people are disappointed about vog not coming back, especially as POE sucked Shame bungie doesn't listen to the people they're selling the game to - isn't it?

Halo Reach was fantastic, people who say it wasn't (ok I understand Halo 3 was amazing, but I never got to play it in it's golden days so I can't say anything about it.) are insane.

It's weird that they heard and read all the criticism of vanilla Destiny in year 1 saying it lacked content and story, then for year 2 they decided instead of adding content, they'd just replace what there was with a few new things. Bungie need to change the loot system so you get guaranteed, max level, drops that are not duplicates of what you already have, until you have received a full set of armour and weapons etc. Why? Because they clearly don't want us to play long term, yet have designed the game to be played constantly. Why would I want to spend another year grinding for a certain weapon, or a goddamn Harrowed raid helmet, or a 320 class item, when it becomes obsolete when the next DLC lands? I didn't get a Hawkmoon in year 1 until pretty close to TTK coming out, nearly a whole year grinding for that. Even with the nerfs, I was still lucky it got brought over to year 2! Other people spent all year grinding for VOG gear, or Gjallarhorn or whatever their white whale is and Bungie just straight up made it all irrelevant in Year 2. There are arguments that Y1 gear can still be used, but people don't want to drop down to 180 light! It makes me fearful of the future. Why should I put in all this time if it ultimately is worthless. It's just a videogame, but it's entertainment and i want to have fun and I want to have something to show for my time put in. Why would I play repeatedly to get all the gear, fighting against RNG for months and months, only for it to all be meaningless the next time an update comes out? I feel like there's very little incentive these days to replay strikes or raids. Complete the story, complete the strikes, complete the raid once, forget about the loot, just get what you're given on your 1 pass through and move on to the next game until the next DLC.

I play the division now... Totally love it and it's open world. I still watch the destiny forums to lol at the desperation I used to feel for that game...

1 AntwortenMy guess is they're going to stretch it out until Year 3 (Fall Expansion) as to not let the content dry out. PoE will return in 2.2.0. (April) The rest is speculation, but my guess. May: Event June: Crota's End + new PvE stuff (2.3.0) July: Event August: Vault of Glass + new PvE stuff (2.4.0) September: Fall Expansion (Year 3)

Ok in no doubt bungie screwed up by not releasing contents in the last 6 months.. The best part is they've saved me some money, the onky game I've bought the last 6 months is the Division.

If I had a choice....Spend an evening playing an updated POE for 1 or 2 Legendary weapons and MAYBE and exotic or VOG with checkpoints and on average more than 2 Legendary engrams and Raid gear....ahhh....Raid Please.
