I never got into Wow in the MMO, always veered towards the star wars games. It was a big hit at the time I was a kid and grew up with it. Plus my kids love star wars and my oldest son played swtor with me. But I miss a lot of those old strikes. Phogoths area is like a giant jungle gym to me. Im running across the upper walk ways, jumping over him as i drop a grenade down on him, then jump up to slide into the next group and shotgun them. Turn around and jump back across, toss another grenade as I jump over him again. I love that arena. Its fun to just move and run and jump the whole damn time. But like you said, you cant really go back to it as its outdated now and doesnt give. I was thrilled when undying mind became a nightfall. Man I go acrobatic on that shit with my titan. Plus. I dont really know how many liked kingsfall, but I just didnt really enjoy it. I hated the end boss fight mechanics (dont like fights where the environment produces the damage. Telling you Master gee fight in borderlands) I want a fight where I am beating him down. Not setting off light bombs from ogres. Crota was awesome for me as I ran the sword on my titan. I remember a buddy of mine who mains a hunter told me I couldnt do it in 2 swords. I said watch me bitch. I was up running at him dodging his fire while the rockets come in. Just loved seeing all those rockets hit him right as i got to his feet as he knelt. I wanted to do the straight forward attack and go right up the gut so the rockets came from my left and right side, blowing by me all action movie like, but thralls could throw off your jump if you didnt hit it right. But man I miss doing stuff like that. Now you can do crota in one sword on hard.
