Broad sword broken, blacksmith still locked out. Uninstall?!
I've been playing Bloodborne, it took a while to get into it, but now I have, I love it, and have got as far as The Nightmare of Mensis, which I'm holding off completing until I have completed Cainhurst, and the DLC.
But DS2 doesn't seem as cogent. It feels as though you can end up at a dead end, unless you do the right things.
Yeah, Bloodborne can serve up plenty of "well how the fook was I meant to know that" moments, but the only consequence is a setback to the last lantern. Which is a nuisance, but not a complete embuggerment.

3 AntwortenDark souls is much more in depth than bloodbourne. In bloodbourne, stats are dumbed down, and there aren't as many secrets (from what I've been told). You get the key to the blacksmiths shop from the hag merchant at the cardinal tower bonfire in the forest of fallen Giants. As for the broken sword, that's a weapon: simply find a different weapon to use and equip it. Weapons have requirements in order to use them: depending on the weapon type, you will need a certain strength or dexterity level to wield it (or intelligence for staves and faith for chimes). There's a Morningstar in Majula which requires strength. A really good beginner weapon can be found from the cardinal bonfire (where the aforementioned merchant is): from the bonfire, turn around and head straight out the door. Jump off the broken wall to the scaffolding below and make your way to the ground. There's 2 little caves on the other side of the ground area, in one is a chest containing a fire broadsword. This will be a great weapon to use while learning the game, and it has a fire buff, making it pretty strong at the early stages. I recommend using it until you give the dull ember to the second blacksmith (this allows you to imbue elements into weapons).

Play Demon's Souls. There are not as many dead ends, but plenty more blood stains. That and some devious boss mechanics.

Pay more attention.

I liked DS2, but still it was full with design flaws like this. You want to play a great Souls game play Demons or Dark 1, those have a significantly better design philosophy when it comes to pacing the game as well as other things. It still felt strange to me that a sequel to such a great game was actualy a downgrade in many ways, I hope they learned from their mistakes in DS3 but I have good hopes that they did.
