Any tips on ability kills for the exotic sword?
Any advice is much appreciated as this is a slow old drag.
Edit: thanks for all the help guardians, I'm running nightstalker with void edge to get dark drinker.
Edit 2: just thought I'd put this on for anyone reading it who needs help: nightstalker may not be ideal for the void kills, but you can use the sword with no ammo to get melee kills that count. Once the sword has ammo it seems to stop working.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von powermad69: 3/19/2016 8:47:36 PMI had 500 kills done for all three on my Titan while farming materials. All were done long before I had found 10/10. All with mainly melee and grenades. Monte Carlo, shotgun with army of one and raid gloves that give melee recharge. If you do end up finding all 10 and still have ability kills to do just run the Lost to Light mission. When you get to the doors and have to grab the orb. Run around and punch out everything with the orb instead before opening the door. Orb kills will count as an ability kill, no recharge. Clear the first and second room this way and orb to death all but one in the last room. Die, wipe then do it again till you get bored with it.

Dark beyong mission on heroic. Best one. And it also depends what class you have it on..

Do The Siege of the Warmind mission as suggested. When doing it use your legendary sword, before you kill anything slash until you are down to about 2 ammo and then use the shield block to drain the ammo the rest of the way. All kills with just the hilt will count as ability kills.

2 AntwortenGrenades are your best bet, go to the cosmodrome cuz there are a lot of noobish enemies. Use shoulder charge on Titan if getting Arc Sword. And use exotic armor that grant you another grenade or Melee charge

Mayham Clash, if u sont like pvp, then go the dark beyond or the rasputin mission where u encounter the Omnigul.

Tell me what sword you're going for and what class you're on

The crucible gives a much higher percentage when you get ability kills. Mayhem is amazing for spamming grenades and supers.

Use the subclass that you need to use and you'll get the ability kills.

You should do all your exotic swords on your Warlock. Very easy to do with a Warlock. But anyway, which sword are doing and with what character?

I did dark beyond mission

Just run strikes with bad juju and good discipline stats. You'll be slinging your Light all over the place. Or do what I did and just use ability enhancing exotics while you're on patrol farming for the rare materials i finished all 3 sword quests like that.

Do the siege of the warmind mission. Get into the bunker where a bunch of thrall start running at you as a yellow bar Knight stands at the top of the stairs. Kill the thrall with grenades or Blood Bound tether. There is about 4 waves of 5 thrall. After killing all the thrall, jump off the catwalk into the blue fog of doom. It will start you off just before you fought your way to the stairs.
