FINALLY a Taken Shader?
Am I the only one crazy excited that it looks like we could have a VERY cool looking Taken style shader to look forward to in the April update?
Or do we think the image on the weekly update is some new form of enemy Taken Guardians?
Either way, excited to find out!
Edit: As some excellent individuals (below) have pointed out, it does indeed look like PoE gear the guardians are weakring... So... New shaders for us...? Or a whole new style of enemy to face?

Some great ideas below - ranging from shader possibilities, quest ideas suggestions of Taken versions of us in a Strike as bosses, or maybe armour set bonuses that give the effect and also some version of a quest like the Raid mechanic where we get 'torn' but we are all in the Taken realm fully - good stuff!
Whatever it is, lots of excited people - here's hoping Bungie delivers!

3 AntwortenI'm thinking that might not be just a shader, but actual armor - it looks really similar to the PoE gear - especially the helicopter helmet (lol).

4 AntwortenCalling it now: It's not a shader, but Taken versions of the PoE armor. Which might mean we're getting Taken versions of PoE.

Maybe we have to be taken to enter the realm and something something. Being on the reef could lead to the continuation of the Queens or Eris story There has to be a better reason for the voice actors to show up on the recent stream. Maybe they were doing more voice recording and are keeping it on the downlow.

What if we have to fight taken guardians? Lol would be sick but yes prolly a shader. I noticed the air plane titan helm has diffent eyes then normal one

If they bring back PoE, it makes the most sense story wise. There can always be more prison cells. Doesn't mean we have to fight Skolas and the gang. Plus Taken shader! Whooooo!

EDIT: See video.. For you youngsters, this was back when video games had to be perfect from day one cause you couldn't fix it with a patch. Times have clearly changed. Still a better boss fight than anything Bungie has given us imo.

I think it will be a shader. Hopefully. Imagine just the PoE taken legs on a normal colored Guardian.... Ew. Lol I don't think we will have random taken armor, it would look funky.

No you are not the only one excited xD When I first saw it I was like Holy crap! Anyway, what I think we will get is a new strike for the nightfall that will allow us to drop the gear.

Maybe it's not a shader. That would be a Bungie move. I noticed the gear is from HoW so perhaps that's just how the gear looks without a shader? I just don't want to get my hopes up and expect a taken shader. They've gotten my hopes up before then disappointed me quite a few times. It's a great game but just don't expect much from Bungie I guess
