FINALLY a Taken Shader?
Am I the only one crazy excited that it looks like we could have a VERY cool looking Taken style shader to look forward to in the April update?
Or do we think the image on the weekly update is some new form of enemy Taken Guardians?
Either way, excited to find out!
Edit: As some excellent individuals (below) have pointed out, it does indeed look like PoE gear the guardians are weakring... So... New shaders for us...? Or a whole new style of enemy to face?

Some great ideas below - ranging from shader possibilities, quest ideas suggestions of Taken versions of us in a Strike as bosses, or maybe armour set bonuses that give the effect and also some version of a quest like the Raid mechanic where we get 'torn' but we are all in the Taken realm fully - good stuff!
Whatever it is, lots of excited people - here's hoping Bungie delivers!

I really hope it is gear or a shader. What I really wanted this whole time was TAKEN CAMO WEAPONS! Anyone else think that would be sick?

It does not look like a shader at all. If anything it is Taken Guardians.

I don't believe it's a shader since class items don't change with shaders and pay attention to the class items.

God I hope it's not a shader. Will be so annoying seeing all those taken guardians running around everywhere just like how it was with gloohoo. I was sick to death of gloohoo after the first month.

1 AntwortenI would be excited to see all raids redone to a new light level, Let's say 340, and each raid only gives you a certain piece of gear that can be 340. That way you have to beat all three raids to get the final destiny "one" gear set.

The Reef background and them all using the PoE armor set leads me to believe these are much more likely to be enemies in a new activity (such as the mentioned strike or new PoE challenge).

Now I love destiny truly I do but this "update" is going to just be more recycled content or shit that was ripped before TTK launched. Also a taken shader should've been I dunno the raid one or something.....Anyway I'll kill whatever they add a few hundred time before the summer update/DLC, Lets go bungie!

Don't get too hyped up for it. It's more likely that what's shown is just a year 2 light-level variant of the old PoE gear with a badass particle effect to make up for the rehashed model. Similar to how the Taken ghost is a whole 'new' Ghost (yeah yeah i know false equivalency 'you can't put shaders on ghosts' alright look kid).

What if the taken guardians in the picture are just enemies that we have to fight in PvE? They have the sams abilities as us.
