FINALLY a Taken Shader?
Am I the only one crazy excited that it looks like we could have a VERY cool looking Taken style shader to look forward to in the April update?
Or do we think the image on the weekly update is some new form of enemy Taken Guardians?
Either way, excited to find out!
Edit: As some excellent individuals (below) have pointed out, it does indeed look like PoE gear the guardians are weakring... So... New shaders for us...? Or a whole new style of enemy to face?

Some great ideas below - ranging from shader possibilities, quest ideas suggestions of Taken versions of us in a Strike as bosses, or maybe armour set bonuses that give the effect and also some version of a quest like the Raid mechanic where we get 'torn' but we are all in the Taken realm fully - good stuff!
Whatever it is, lots of excited people - here's hoping Bungie delivers!

4 AntwortenThe only thing that tells me that it's not a shader is the fact there are Taken flames coming from the top of the guardians' helmets. Normally shaders don't add anything else to the armor but change color. Unless they're introducing something similar to the nightfall fire from back then, I don't think it's a Taken shader.

If it's hard to get I'll be excited. When house dropped I got that blue ship from skolas, but everyone had it so didn't like it... and then got the kf raid ship and every one had it. .. I want something that's really fuking hard to get...

I'm hoping it's taken guardians not a shader. Beside shaders normally don't effect class items and other gear but just your armor. Fighting taken guardians on the other hand sounds bad ass!

I think it's going to be new Armour for a taken POE. After the reefs forces were wiped out, it would be strategic for the taken to "take" the prisoners.

1 AntwortenOr maybe that's the new armor. If you want you can check my Titan, the helmet doesn't have a rectangle, and the front part doesn't even change with shaders

It's a new armour set for each character. Each part has a *chance* of dropping as a reward from the new taken strike. We grinded away for hours to get a grasp of malok or flayer mantle so how much will we grind to get this gear ? [spoiler]Yes, I am gonna post this in threads about the news update ;)[/spoiler]
