Am I the only one crazy excited that it looks like we could have a VERY cool looking Taken style shader to look forward to in the April update?
Or do we think the image on the weekly update is some new form of enemy Taken Guardians?
Either way, excited to find out!
Edit: As some excellent individuals (below) have pointed out, it does indeed look like PoE gear the guardians are weakring... So... New shaders for us...? Or a whole new style of enemy to face?
Edit No. 2: 500 replies and Trending? Nice :)
Some great ideas below - ranging from shader possibilities, quest ideas suggestions of Taken versions of us in a Strike as bosses, or maybe armour set bonuses that give the effect and also some version of a quest like the Raid mechanic where we get 'torn' but we are all in the Taken realm fully - good stuff!
Whatever it is, lots of excited people - here's hoping Bungie delivers!

1 AntwortenYay it's a shader thing!
-
1 Antwortenguys, what if it's just fan art lol
-
Im hoping for one... BUT about the only place i would use it would be the tower.... it would make you stand out way too much in crucible
-
I'm not a fan of the way taken looks I feel like it lacks detail compared to other ads in the game.
-
2 AntwortenI don't think its taken guardians. Although the thought did occur to me, there is no "Taken King" to take us. I think its either a shader or PoE armor. Which would be really cool. It probably also means new PoE bosses that are taken.
-
1 AntwortenThe thing that interest me is that the guardians don't have weapons, if I'm right almost every other update, expansion, dlc showed them with weapons. Can't wait to find out what's going on.
-
3 AntwortenIt's either an effect from the new strike or a armor set bonus so you have to equip 4 certain pieces to look like that
-
There wearing PoE armor as well....maybe hint of them returning? If they do it will pull me back in.
-
Id probably tone that excitement down until you get some concrete details... Just don't want you to be disappointed

Eververse. 100000 Silver.

8 AntwortenMaybe a taken subclass?

3 AntwortenIMO it would make a better crucible game mode than a shader.
One guardian starts off "taken" then every guardian they kill becomes "taken" too.
Bearbeitet von TheLastRib: 3/21/2016 1:47:50 AMBut shaders don't effect class items. Or do they? I remember one time when i first made my hunter i got a hood from a blue engram and using blacksmith it turned darker. It was still white but it had a kinda pale/smokey black color.

1 AntwortenI don't get "crazy excited" over a shader. That's just me, though.
-
2 AntwortenIt's most definitely a shader. The whole new Taken Guardians' thing can't happen. The community would flip if they saw an enemy that looks like them doing what they do but better. There would be riots.
I'm okay with a shader if it means no Taken Guardians'.
Not a shader!!
-
Ya but twilight garrison won't change so either way, it's useless
-
10 AntwortenI'm sorry but I don't get excited for a -blam!-ing shader. Not from a bunch of jackass's who think an emote is worth 5 bucks

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Packis: 3/19/2016 2:18:16 AMWhen I saw them I just thought that all of PoE and Maybe even crotas end and vog will have taken armor sets to earn as well as taken enemies/ weapons in a taken version of those activities. Maybe we can earn a fatebringer without elemental damage.

4 AntwortenI'm not sure it's going to be a shader. I think that while playing the new strike we might turn into taken or something. A taken shader would be way to BA
-
1 AntwortenTaken shader. Have fun Enjoy that shader update for the next 4 months
-
Ya but it's going to get boring fast with 90 percent of everyone using it. But it will look cool in crucible if you have a whole team using the taken shader, it will look like a little taken squad.

Looks cool whatever it is. I'm excited.
