This is why:
Vault of Glass is never too punishing, nor is it too easy. If one person dies (assuming you have a full fireteam), the rest can continue just fine, with little to no difficulties. If the guy with the relic dies, just pass it on to the other guy. If you wipe, it doesn't really take very long to get back to where you were.
King's Fall? You're shit out of luck if even ONE guy dies. This is especially apparent in Totems, Deathsingers and Oryx. Bonus "I'm screwed" points if the person that dies was the relic runner. And if it's hard mode? Too bad, if one guy dies (or heaven forbid he disconnects because Bungo's servers consist of two potatoes and a tulip), you're doing it all over again.
Take Golgoroth Challenge for example. It doesn't matter how far you get into the challenge, if so much as ONE guy dies, you have to do it ALL OVER AGAIN. It's not that I suck at it, it's just so tedious to do it again. Oh, and don't get me started on the random disconnects. It's bad enough that the servers consist of two budding potatoes and a dead tulip, but if one guy disconnects? Restart. They don't even have the courtesy to give you back your ammo, or at least spawn you back alive. You start from nothing when you reconnect.
It is for this ONE reason why VoG will always be better than KF. The fact that VoG is willing to forgive beginners' mistakes (and the servers' screw-ups) and still be a fair challenge. KF is like, "Hell no, bitch, you screw up or if the servers die on you, I don't care, you do it again."
And I think that this is why the people who host LFGs for KF are less forgiving than the raid itself.
On one LFG raid, they asked if I had a 300 Black Spindle. At the time, I only had a 299 Black Spindle. So what did they do? They kicked me. Come on, it's close enough.
That's all I have to say.

There are no "servers" for the raid. It's a p2p connection. The server is someone you are playing with. The challenge modes are supposed to be challenging, so yeah dying..is not an option..Stop it immediately. Hard mode and normal can both be done with less than a full fireteam (if someone dies) oryx himself has been soloed on hard. Possibly even challenge mode. Sorry bud you lack experience with the raid.

4 AntwortenFirst off, get your facts straight. People can die during every challenge and you can still complete them. They fixed the glitch where it takes ammo from you a while ago. You are right, VoG is a better raid, but not for the things you mentioned, as most of them aren't entirely true.

2 AntwortenIs there a reason why so many people are doing VOG today? I've been invited multiple times ...Just curious..
-
I agree that VOG was better, but not because of the reasons you mentioned. It was just more fun and the weapons were actually worth grinding for.
-
While I agree with some of your points, challenge modes are challenge modes. I would make them punishingly hard in my game...probably way more so. Ever experience the difference between reg/hm raids in WoW? Destiny challenge modes are a joke.

5 AntwortenGet good scrub I have five manned all my of those But vog had no timer so you could finish the boss with 2 people if you wanted Plus the made a mistake in the first 2 raids where you could solo the raid

No rng in the rng for max lvl

It's a daffodil, not a tulip. God!
;)
Kings Fall has alot of fake difficulty

While I agree...you don't have to wipe if someone dies on golgoroth hard challenge. Assuming you can kill him on next damage phase and they already grabbed gaze for the phase you are on its all good, or add an extra damage phase to your current run if you can finish him off and they went down before getting gaze.

6 AntwortenHere is the real reason, illustrated with a couple of stories from raiding -two of my best moments in a raid ever. Spot the difference. 1. In my second ever time doing Vault of Glass on Hard, no one wanted to run relic on Templar. I was inexperienced, but the team encouraged me to do it. With their help, we perfected a formula without wiping once by which we could get maximum damage, until he teleported to the far corner. I made a seemingly dumb suicide run through the Harpies and got his shield down, and my Fireteam only just managed to kill him before the Oracles got us. I got Fatebringer. So happy. 2. On Hard Warpriest, the rest of my 314+ team got killed off before the 3rd cycle, leaving me, a 306, a 307, and a 314 to whittle away his tiny amount of health. God knows how we survived, but we did, the 314 picked up the Aura but died seconds later. Ignoring the fact that I would die in 10 seconds, me and the 307 poured shots into the Warpriest and watched him die with 3 seconds left. I got......2 Moldering Shards. And that, is the difference between King's Fall and Vault of Glass.

Not to mention the VoG weapons kicked @$$ while the kf weapons blow

when crota hard dropped i was level 30, i had only run normal a couple of times and that was a titan doing the lamp glitch. me and my friend's took 6 hour's to complete the raid.. ill never forget that moment we got that last sword swipe, it was epic especially as it was drunk sunday also the banter and jokes we're none stop... rip crota raid you'll never be forgotten

Nope, it's: karazhan>VoG
-
VoG is a better raid because you kill atheon with your guns n' powers. In kings fall, Oryx just dies because you run around and do stuff and tickle his belly from to time. Total different feel from when I first slayed Atheon, to when I popped some bubbles enough times and Oryx just fell off his ship to take a nap.
-
2 Antwortenno KF is onlyhard is when your crew cant callout or know raiders 101
-
I don't like that the oryx encounter basically requires you to have a Titan
-
4 AntwortenI've clutched kings fall oryx hard mode several times when the othet ogre killer with me dies, all it takes is a lot of rockets and a lot of risks. Ps this typically happens when we just beat third shade. The game kills one guy for no reason when we get teleported back after killing shade.

10 Antworten"Bungos servers consist of two potatoes and a tulip" My professor gave me the dirtiest look for laughing as hard as I did in the middle of class, then I showed him this post and he couldn't even keep a straight face.

I think KF is cool except that I think they made it a little too team-heavy.
-
Kings fall is very weird. Its like we do these magical rituals to kill these mystical creatures And our guardian knows exactly what those things do

2 AntwortenThe loot is reason enough.

So it's better because it doesn't require as much teamwork? It's better because it's easier to complete with a smaller fireteam? You need punched right in the face.
-
Bungie wanted getting killed in kings fall deadly for the whole fire team so it can have more teamwork value
