Is it possible? They are by far the most superior special weapon right now. I got a doctrine a couple weeks back and fell in love with it. But my problem is I really can't snipe. Especially can't on the trials level of play so I end up running shotgun. But when I do this I feel like I'm wasting my special because I'm running a shotgun with a medium close range primary. Anyone have any ideas? Is it possible to be competive in trials with a doctrine shotgun build? Or I should I kiss that goodbye and just try my best to improve at sniping?

AR shotgun still works good. Use the AR from mid range or to close the gap. If you catch them off guard or are chasing them use shotgun. The TLW sniper combo is common so a shotgun is still worth running to counter them popping around the corner.

2 AntwortenI'm kinda fond of killing hard scoped snipers by strafing with a MIDA.

Agility, and constant motion...

Strafe and hope they suck at sniping. Most of the time, you'll still get domed though.

Use a fusion. Find a good thesan or use the susanoo.

I find it harder to hit snipes when getting hit with scouts like mida. Scopes bouncing even with unflinching it's difficult. U should be fine with doctrine on the close quarters maps but if there is long lanes 4 snipes scout them.

Try and flank and hope their dumb enough to hardscope a doorway too much to check their radar. Also run a gun with armour piercing rounds, it seems to help make their snipers buck more (that's why so many have been running mida lately, red death is also great for this) Strafe back and forth so their sniper retecle don't settle immediately back on your head (why this happens idk but it does)

Try flanking. I KNOW. To almost everyone on the forums that seems to think that running directly at a sniper and getting picked off shouldnt be possible it may seem foreign. Hear me out. Instead of running in a linear line at the red glare try standing behind something, maneuver from cover to cover and maybe just maybe you could even go around OR if your feeling crazy just don't go where you see red glare.

Very. Make them feel confident in themselves. (Not as in give them free kills) But let them post up their tent, and roast their smores. And when the time comes; collapse on them with everything. Lead them in more difficult and busier areas to lessen their ability to snipe. Close you distance with them. Most importantly: if you see they are posted up (hardscoped) or if they miss you, run. Don't challenge them. I like to use blink. It's a great way to discombobulate everyone since it goes in the air (shade step is great and all. But they can predict your movement a lot easier). Piece that will a bad juju or mida (these two weapons are amazing a kicking a sniper's aim) and a fusion rifle. (Very easy for your combatant to misjudge its range, and make your job all the more simple) In short. Don't run in tandem with your team all the time. Don't take more advantageous or faster routes. They are counting on this. Make so that it is near impossible to hit you. And when it's time; get right in their face

Map knowledge dude, sniping lanes are really bad with your weapon setup. Just stick with the weapons you like and love to use dont go with the "meta" they keep on talking about.

Don't run at head level. Really not that hard

With a sniper.

Kill them.

Keep your shotgun and use invis smoke bombs to flank.

2 AntwortenUse a side arm for situations where your doctorine needs a reload (it's faster to swap weapons, specially if you have quick draw), plus you start out with special ;) Buy sniper orders from the gun Smith every week and keep an eye out for a great roll on a sniper. If you can get ahold of a sniper with high stability and unflinching, you can learn to snipe with very little effort.

Maybe changing your play style to be way more aggressive and have your team mates supporting you from behind

I use MIDA to counter snipers and run either a sniper or sidearm as my secondary depending on the map/gamemode
