Signed a Titan main for year 1

To me there hasn't really beren a year two yet. TTK should have been part of year one. It's still such a mess that I'm not sure I want to say I like one more than the other as I think the version of Destiny I want is a combination of both, with WAY more story and exploration.

I liked year one way better. I only like crucible better in year 2. I liked the old lvl system better too

Year one was so much better all round especially in pvp

2 AntwortenThat depends on what activity you're speaking about. If it were PvP-wise, I'd have to say Year 1 was probably better. Despite the much-appreciated buff to auto rifles (one of the few things Bungie has done right, and I commend them for it), they're still outclassed by a lot of weapons. They completely neutered hand cannons that aren't The Last Word or Thorn, although Hawkmoon isn't bad if you're an accurate shot. The problem specifically with Hawkmoon is that, because of the range nerf and aim assist nerf to all hand cannons (despite the re-buff, Hawkmoon is still not the best), it just feels average compared to other Legendary varients, and feels under-powered compared to the last two mentioned Exotic hand cannons. It was my jam in Year 1, being a 2-shot machine while still being counter-able. Now, it feels as if every weapon is under-powered compared to the "Mighty 4"- Doctrine of Passing, The Last Word, Thorn and MIDA Multi-Tool. PvE is a different beast altogether. I think they made a good decision with the new Heroic Strike rewards, guaranteeing a Legendary every character as well as giving Marks AND Strike-specific items. The Raid, while fairly quickly out-lived, was excellently designed. The boss fights have given more perspective than just "Shoot to Win". There are game mechanics in order to defeat the enemy, such as the floating orbs for Golgoroth or the Auras for Warpriest, Daughters of Oryx and Oryx himself. It requires teamwork and good communication, which is exactly what the Raids needed a dose of. I haven't even gotten into the topic of additional, legitimate story (hold your applause, ladies and gentlemen!) So, for PvE, I'd say Year 2 is better.

When viewed as normal games, where you play all the content then a bit of pvp and be done with it, the Taken King is of much higher quality (although obviously a bit smaller).

1 AntwortenY2 pretty much ruined the game, imo To the point where I've logged in once in the past 4 months.

Year 1 was way better! Some of my favorite features in year 1 got removed for no reason in year 2!! My biggest complaints: Hunter cloaks used to change color with shaders, legendary weapons could be rerolled, nightfall rewarded an xp bonus, none of the raids were useless and all of them gave you more events to complete for the week. Not to mention, most of the gear loadouts that players chose were unique and didn't only consist of 3 OP weapons. Even in early year 1, thorn wasn't overused in crucible, which made it really fun to use. Just overall, the year 1 experience was much better! The changes in TTK were cool and all, but they were also the very thing that made me lose interest in the game. They changed features that I enjoyed already and even removed others.

the first time I got my face melted by the vex in pvp I thought "HOLY SHIT THAT GUN IS AMAZING I WANT IT NOW" pocket inifinity was pretty badass too before they nerfed the clip size

Bearbeitet von Cobalt: 3/15/2016 1:53:37 AMYes. The guns were more OP. Both PvE and PvP.

Bearbeitet von cuzzybubba1: 3/15/2016 1:50:43 AMYep pvp wise.. the ttk was much quicker so the skill gap was wider. Now everything shoots rubber bullets, takes forever to kill.

Year two seemed to try and "fix" things that weren't really broken to begin with (field scout to name one thing) Plus it left a lot of content completely out of rotation. Is there a legitimate reason as to why they removed more than half of the strikes from the playlist? I don't think lore would be an appropriate answer considering we already killed omniwhore, tanniks, RocketMcDickface, the Nexus Mind 2.0 and such. So why don't we have archon priest, phogoth, the servitor?

1 AntwortenI like TTK but year one was way better.... especially HoW, that was the best 4 months this game had.

Year 1 was the best time we all had back then with The Dark Below & House of Wolves, even to this day we all wish that all we had on us was to be in Year 2. The Taken King show us how far we as Guardians have fallen, left everything to be just a forgotten memory just like the Vault of Glass or Crota's End. Now that TTK left everything broken, what's the whole point of being called a "Pro" if you're going to use the end game weapons that King's Fall provides? Ever wondered why you got out of so many close calls in crucible & still stand to live? Or the matter of fact that we see this as nothing but a bragging right on who is the best? Think back to what made Year 1 the best thing Bungie offered to us & look to where we stand today. I wonder alone, seeking the day where everything is balanced just like is was back then. If you can't see the reason why Year 1 was better than Year 2, then we are not to be called a "Guardian", but rather a Living Nightmare. I'd rather die with the Her Right Hand from the first Queen's Wrath event from Year 1 rather than the ones from the King's Fall end game. Until then, enjoy being the very thing you call yourself

1 AntwortenYear 1 was fun. Grinding VOG and praying IB had the helmet was a lot of fun. TDB was a great addition. HoW was the icing on the cake. TTK ruined everything.

4 AntwortenSure, I enjoyed being kicked out of lobbies for not having Gjallarhorn, having it take a long time to upgrade weapons, materials being a bitch farm, useless gunsmith, shotguns running rampant, pulse rifles being shit, thorn and last word crucible. To be honest, Year 1 was hell for me since I didn't have DLC at the time. So pretty much content was limited. I liked HoW because you could get to level 34 without having DLC which was good but nightfalls were hard to find. Honestly, I'm enjoying Year 2, there are a few things though that piss me off.

No competition year 1 was way better.
