People call it the perfect Destiny, yet everyone I hear about it irl complain and say they're already bored.
Can any current or ex ''hardcore'' Destiny players tell me how it is 100% honest?
I've seen it for 12 hours of which I played 5, alot of things were fun but it was indeed boring. first impression 7,5/10
after lots of great input I think the conclusion is; It's fun for now but won't last that long. Unless they DO provide enough dlc's and listen to complaints. Kind of the same as Destiny, although destiny DID drop the ball on that front.
I was on the fence with a decision but after putting some hours into it yesterday I can safely say it's worth a buy!
-
Overwatch is going to be the division killer
-
1 AntwortenAbout to purchase it, what I'm excited about is the more slow tactical aspects more my style, worried about a lot of complaints about playing solo, I'm getting frustrated with the new push in games to only fun with co op. And it's 3rd person so will have to get use to that again. Other concern is the discussions about open world being boring, sounds great but became a burden in fallout 4. Overall excited to play a game that will keep me up at night like destiny did for months and months. Also impressed with this thread not much salt and insults maybe there is hope for these toxic forums. Ps thanks for all the input I'm getting on the game.

Its fun, but destiny is safe.
-
Dark Zone is still a mosh pit...
-
I like it but i still like destiny as well. I will play division more until new destiny content comes out.
-
It's comparable to destiny without the lies and over hype. Well worth the 60$.
-
3 AntwortenDivision is an RPG that wants to be a shooter. Destiny is a shooter that wants to be an RPG.
-
6 AntwortenBoth gAmes are fun I still like destiny more after playing division for a couple days you miss your sparrow, and jumping, and crouching and supers, and huge boss encounters. And no a huge fat dude hobbling towards you with a flamethrower is not a boss.

26 AntwortenBearbeitet von PR0P4NE: 3/10/2016 10:34:06 AMWeek one Destiny vet, day one Division player here. The Division is new, fresh, different. Contains mechanics we wish Destiny had. Will have trading (after a fashion), has confirmed dlc and an official content roadmap. So, so much to do, solo or otherwise. Promises great things. It feels as exciting and vibrant as Destiny did at launch. There isn't anything wrong with Destiny as a game. The engine, graphics, audio, gunplay are all great. What let it down was the transition to year 2. Once TTK came, and the raid was beaten, and half the exotics we were chasing weren't even in the game, and our beloved year one gear was useless, we had nothing to do. Then we realised there wasn't even anything planned. A whole year or more, with nothing but little PvP events that add nothing to the canon. We'd done it; saved the universe in just over 12 months. We've been strung along with smoke and mirrors. Even now, we know that something is coming in the spring. Well it's spring now and what do we get? The making of Destiny as seen on Twitch. It's easy to say "it's coming, be patient" and as a community it's easy to keep denying Bungie have left the roadmap and lost the plot. This is the internet Bungie; pics or ban. Destiny started with massive promise, delivered for year 1, then wheezed to a halt. And here we are, half sagging over a wall, spitting into each others faces shouting it will be ok. The Division has got off to a blinder. It's two days old. Nobody knows how it'll pan out, but new and fresh beats old and stale every time. Both games have huge huge potential; all that's different is Destiny has been sprinting hard for a year and gassed short of the finish line. The Division has only just joined the race. Ps-Division is 9/10 for me right now. 100% honest.

I've had a lot of fun playing it, I still enjoy destiny more but to compare both would be like apples to oranges. Either way its a nice change of pace until the next destiny update comes.
-
4 AntwortenIt's awesome and is keeping me away from adding any more to my 500+ hours on destiny.... So I'll say it again, ITS AWESOME!!!
-
It's fun because it's new and fresh but I can see how it can be tiring and boring for the grind over time.
-
9 AntwortenIf you like shooters you'll like destiny more. If you like an rpg that looks like it came out on last Gen then you'll like division. The gun mechanics in division are horrible and it's not visually apealing. It has just as much story as destiny. Don't forget destiny also had a plan in year 1 just like the division and look where we are. And last but not least.... Destiny came out 2 years ago and is being compared to a game that came out 2 days ago so that says how good destiny is. And destiny still looks better with 2 year old graphics.
-
3 AntwortenNeeds a raid like thing. Thats a reason I played destiny so much because even if I didn't get the piece or weapon I wanted it would give a reason to replay. So far Division PvE doesn't feel that way. The storyline is great and I love that you upgrade wings of your base. Can't say much for PvP yet wait till lvl 30 to go in there.
-
It'll keep me busy for a little while but I doubt it's going to have much replay value. I feel like I'd be way more into it if it was first person
-
If you approach the game from a solo perspective, you are going to have a really bad time IMO.
-
Honestly it's amazing, difficult and a bit too much at times. There is so much going on...
-
Is alright - I'm currently having to play by streaming my Xbox to my laptop cuz (until Friday evening) I don't have a tv and because of this I have really bad lag... But this is only because I have to use somewhat unstable wifi to stream from my Xbox to my laptop... Otherwise it'd be perfectly fine - just pointing that out to the people who'd try and say the division is shit because it has bad lag - it has nothing to do with the game or its servers - just my connection between laptop and Xbox
-
having a ton of fun with the division. Ubisoft soft has done a amazing job. yes I will come back to destiny. yes I needed a break from Destiny. I find that I like the gameplay of the division. no I don't think its dynamic enough to keep me going long term. the initial story is lasting far longer then destiny. destiny lasted what 5 hrs. its been about double that and I'm only 2/3 through so there is alot that bungie can learn. about what should be offered up front. but for now im happy glad im not stuck in destinyland.

Bearbeitet von xPDX503x: 3/10/2016 6:52:49 PMI'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. I wasn't even going to buy it after playing the beta.
-
3 AntwortenI played the Beta got to lvl 8 and dark zone 11.... But I don't think I will buy it. The shooting was clunky and the story didn't really pull me in and can be summarized really easily. ( I know destiny isn't know for story but after reading the grimoire I feel mesmerized) And to be honest I think it will be just as big as a grind as destiny if not more, I think I but in about 8 hours into the division just solo and was bored and frustrated ( don't dark zone alone) But the real reason I decided no to buy the division is it had no Wow moments in the 8 hours I played. I get more existing experiences in cod and street fighter. I also played the destiny beta and I got that feeling of excitement, the division didn't hit the spot I was hoping it would for me but third person shooters normal bug me.
just my opinion division fan boys
I honestly love both destiny and the division. I'm playing with a buddy of mine and we're having a blast
-
Love both Destiny and the Division. They're very similar in many aspects, but they're really two different game types. It's nice to have something new and I don't feel like I'll be getting bored any time soon.
-
5 AntwortenI've put 2000+ hours into Destiny and still have plenty of fun. I've put roughly 11 hours into the Division and I can safely say it's "meh!" No unique bosses thus far, no unique and exciting weapons thus far, and why the hell are there so many Christmas lights everywhere?!? Lol There is not really anything about it that wowed me, but I'm cautiously optimistic to see what else it has to offer.
-
Im about 8 hours in the game and they have been wonderfull from doing questo to restore the base,to get into the first bracket of the darkzone helping and ganking people,to get back to some pve experience like doing the hospital mission on hard with matchmaking to help others and what not get a better piece of equipment while in it, its been a refreshing experience that can keep u hooked up if u play as it meant to be slow paced gun fights with tactical movements and different load outs from being a full dps medic, or a tank dpsing the shit out of people or being a total bullet wall tank + heals to support ur team. Destiny has its things but not as good or long as the division up till now...
