First off... I completely understand where you're coming from. I do. I can only imagine how frustrating it can be to lose to 2 or even 1 highly skilled guy while they're back packing someone with a .2 K/D. Trust me...I've been there. I used to be the average player.
But here is a point I want you guys to think about. And I want to hear what your guys' thoughts are after thinking about this.
There are groups of people out there, some, that are better than most of us Sherpas/carriers. If we lose to them, fine, I'm. It going to be salty. They simply outplayed me and I failed the person I'm carrying.
But what a lot of people fail to realize is that their are groups out there that literally call themselves the "lighthouse police" that have malicious intents on keeping out simply because that's what they get off on.
On Monday night I ran into a group like that. After they beat us I messaged them saying "GG, you guys are awesome. But is it really that fun to keep playing and stomp people who are trying to get to the lighthouse?"
His response? "You know those people that play JUST to keep scrubs out of the lighthouse? Yeah I'm one of them. And your team got denied lol "
With guys like that out in trials...are people who do carries really that bad? I don't know.
TL;DR: people who carry arnt the bad people. The "lighthouse police" are.
I'm going to kindly ask too that if you don't have anything practical to say..don't say anything. I want to have a conversation with people and hear your thoughts.

I was wondering if anybody is willing to carry me to the lighthouse. I would like to do it for my 313 titan and my 310 hunter. Thanks for the help. Psn poopymcfinigin.

I help others get to the lighthouse...by sucking and losing every round lol
-
I appreciate anyone that helps me in this game. Id be happy with 7 wins when doctorine is up lol

1 AntwortenDon't get discouraged over the "lighthouse police". Just remember that there are people out there like myself that truly appreciate the time sherpas spend trying to help us get to the lighthouse. Win or lose, it is always appreciated. I have never been to the lighthouse and many people have spent countless hours trying to get me there and I have appreciated every moment that was spent trying to help me.

1 AntwortenI appreciate your efforts bud and would just urge ya to keep it up. Although, how can you tell when a group is playing "lighthouse police"?

4 AntwortenLol I lost to a team that were trying their tiny balls off to beat us and won 5-4 in a lucky capture zone moment. The guy messaged me after saying "That's another set of scrubs not going to the lighthouse :)". Too bad for him, I had already gone flawless that day with my group and we continued playing for fun. So I replied "nice try kid, but I've already got my access to The Lighthouse granted before coming across you chumps. You kids were mediocre at best. Have a nice day." He then replied "I'm sure you're at the light house bud, I'm sure.. I'm on my 8th match so I'll be getting there soon unlike you :)" So my friends and I all went the to lighthouse, took a screenshot of ourselves standing and dancing on the chest, and each of us sent him the screen shot. I then said "Pretty hot up here huh? :)" I check his character on the Destiny app and saw he lost 3 matches in a row after beating my group. He never replied back... :)

31 AntwortenI fcking hate when a team of 320s play trials for no reason they all have been flawless. A couple weeks ago on my old account (I'm lvl 317 or something like that) we ran into a group of two 294s and a 310. My first thought was that they were just faking at first but the first round we obliterated them. I messaged one and asked if they had been flawless. Of course that said no and they were 8-0. I practically forced my team to jump off the edge every time. Today, all 3 of them are my really close friends on xbox live. If only people started doing this it would mean a lot to many people who dedicated days and weeks into this game.

I love being carried, it helps me improve very slowly while still getting rewards, it's not like I'm sitting back not doing anything, I like getting revives while my two friends destroy. I got my first hate message last week for being carried, it was awesome, this guy had max stats on every sodium level, the hate and poison he spewed out of his mouth rivalled thorn. I just replied get good scrub and he exploded worse than a cursed thrawl. Gg

1 AntwortenSo agree with you. This is why I hate ToO, have over 400 passage coins in my vault and think Destiny screwed up here. I refuse to play and give the little asswipes their fun. The sooner everyone casual leaves, the assholes can have fun sniffing each other's junk. Then they will bitch It's too hard Fine by me. They can all cry to their mommies and go back to their fast food jobs.

15 AntwortenBearbeitet von L0neWolfShadow: 3/10/2016 4:09:24 PMI love being the lighthouse police personally I call it gate keeping and c'mon guys lets be honest trials isn't worth the salt and struggle most of you guys have to endure anyways you just get shitty drops like you do from everything else in this game but think about the lighthouse police they're giving you another reason not to do trials which in returns opens up your eyes to do better things in life or play other games
-
poo on too ... it is not worth the effort.... matchmaking always was not good...
-
I just carry on playing trials for fun, not cause I get off on denying people :')
-
Ironically, the "Lighthouse Police" gives a better incentive for players to improve their PvP skills than Sherpas.
-
I can't go flawless because of them!! :(
-
It just sucks when you get charged
-
We learn from success and failure, if someone with more skill is helping me out and I'm trying my best and listening to their instructions I don't think that's being carried. I think it's really cool the cool guys help the scrubs!!
-
The cheaters and the fun police have ruined Trials.
-
I wish my stats were good enough to carry people :(
-
You dont learn from success, you learn from failure and mistakes, so technically Sherpas are making the community better at PvP

1 AntwortenI've been 8-0 multiple times... at least once a week. But once we drop to 8-1 we let the other teams win. We will come at you with side arms, or at our lowest light possible... we have seen countless teams go to the lighthouse because we lost intentionality and have seen multiple thank you measages. But the dbags who teabag when we clearly aren't trying usually get crushed... I am by no means "elite". But my team communicates well and complement each other nicely. And we are all competitive enough to instantly want to crush a tea bagger

You know you know

3 AntwortenSherpas are the "lighthouse coyotes". They help people who need it to make it past the "lighthouse police". Americans and Mexicans should get this reference. Lol
-
2 AntwortenEarn your shit. Don't take stuff that doesn't belong to you. I had to make it to the Lighthouse the hard way, endlessly finding incompetent teammates off LFG until one day I found a teammate who was decent. If I was good enough I'd be a "Lighthouse Police".
-
I just need my daily dose of ELO
-
7 AntwortenLighthouse police sounds like more trouble than it's worth. Now being the progress police in dark souls, that's fun

For some people, (Lighthouse Police) success at a video game is going to be the highlight of their lives. They take pride in this small highlight... Don't take that from them! Lol #mustBsad
