Since the Division didn't kill Destiny what will?
Title says it all...Division wasn't as good as people hoped for... What's next in line?

The game is extremely dry right now and I agree on that.
I'm not trying to sound like a fanboy, but I just really enjoy playing the game and want to see it succeed like [b]most[/b] of you .

Destiny is dry right now but no where near dead I my opinion. I still see posts in the recruitment forums to get to raids and nightfalls.

Destiny killed itself. You can blame Bunglevision for it. The Division put a few of the nails in the coffin though.

22 AntwortenI hope destiny dies. Its a toxin slowly killing the community of gamers. We payed for the base game and 2 dlcs, only to have them become obsolete, and people are actually ok with that? They are ok with bungie releasing 1 dlc with 1 terrible raid, 1 new area, a few pvp maps, a few story missions, and a few decent weapons but making 2 raids (3 counting POE) obsolete, somewhere around 100 guns and armor pieces obsolete, ruining the loot system (HOW was best, etheric light was amazing), and ruining trials. I used to go 9-0 almost every week, but since TTK i have gone twice because I get matched up with people in the top 1% and get destroyed by lag. The stupid weapon balances were a failure, most handcannons are unusable (hawkmoon for example), most auto rifles are unusable except DoP which is probably the best gun in the game, scouts and pulse rifles are still just as good as they were, fusion rifles are terrible now, and the meta is STILL MIDA, TLW and [b][i][u]THORN!!![/u][/i][/b] How do people put up with bungie's bs? Tldr: Desticles are morons. Don't know why? Read the f**king comment.

Destiny, at its current path, will also probably not last their ten year plan. These types of post that claim they don't want to pit games against each other is the same as saying "I'm not hating but...." You're hating. It's a game. There's no such thing as "killing" a video game. Division is in its stages of infancy. So far it's not as glitch and the story content is actually decent. With lots of room for growth. Just like Destiny, and really every other video game in the same genre is. We all thought Destiny would be like WOAH in its infancy and even before that. But from the beginning it lacked story line, content was definitely not on par of what it was advertised upon release. And even DLCS and their promised replayability was lackluster. Those in the forums are a very small sample of Destiny players. Majority of the people on here are fans. It's a sample bias. That's like going to take a poll of who likes McDonald's over Burger King inside of McDonald's. That's why you're getting results like majority of people say it won't last a year and a half- a pretty confident decision after the game has been out less than a week. Whole point, posts like these are pretty useless and petty. They don't actually contribute anything or prove anything. Nor do they motivate Bungie to do a better job with the game.

I actually like playing it. The challenge is what draws me in. Dark Zone 6 is a goddamn nightmare if unprepared.

Everyone acts like The Division, Fallout, Metal Gear and every other major release is actively trying to poach Destiny's player base. They aren't which is why not matter how butthurt people get, or how many F you Deej Cozmo Luke Smith etc posts appear on this forum Destiny will always have people playing it. Just because we have spent 40000000 hours playing doesn't mean everyone has. For example, whilst patroling the Cosmodrome the other day I encountered a lvl 4 guardian with like a 250 grimoire. And I waved because of people like him guarantee Destiny will continue to survive and thrive. In conclusion, nothing but Destiny 2 will successfully kill Destiny. Unless for some reason Sony goes the way of Microsoft and pulls a Lionhead on Bungie. The end

It is possible to play more than one game. If not maybe you should be checked for ocd. But seriously isn't that how it's always been. I think when destiny 2 releases you'll see a pattern. A lot of the old players will come back. Then they'll play for a while get bored leave move on to different games while the hardcore players remain. Then the cycle will start over.
