Ran a couple of hard missions on the division and the matchmaking worked flawlessly.
Instead of fumbling through forums looking to do nightfall strikes or a raid why can't bungie just have us create a lobby with certain requirments and ppl can just load into the lobby? The lobby leader can kick whoever that dont seem fit to run raid/nightfall and another person just takes their place.
If you disagree. Without throwing insults or trolling pls explain how is going on your mobile device and finding random ppl better than letting matchmaking do it for you.
I appreciate the feedback guys.

3 AntwortenThis proves nothing. Completing story missions on a harder difficulty is not the same as raids and night falls.
-
15 AntwortenMm on raids just won't work, anyone who has picked up a random in the tower would know that. Just because you are to stupid to use lfg that's your problem.
-
I agree, see you in the dark zone
-
1 AntwortenWell I've had lfg groups and it's been impossible to get a raid done. So matchmaking will be the same just less work so for me they should just put it in the game. Just like zombies really on cod I've had kids who are terrible and sometimes had people who are really good.

It works great!

3 AntwortenWhat PvE hard content? I haven't seen 1 mission yet with the complexity of a Destiny raid.
-
5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Bob: 3/9/2016 1:03:05 PM"hard" pve content. there is no hard pve content in Division though Edit: to put it into personal. I run missions on "hard" in Division with my 12 year old brother and his friends. and we do it just fine. if I try to do the raid (easy or hard) in Destiny with him and his friends. I better make sure I have the whole day put aside to the raid cause I am not gonna finish any time soon

4 AntwortenNone of the fights are mechanics heavy like Destinys raids.
-
43 AntwortenMatchmaking doesn't give anyone 'leader' status. Therefore, no one can be kicked. Sounds a great place for no idea noobs and trolls. No thanks..
-
2 AntwortenWhat you're proposing is not MM, it's basically in game lfg which will work because the group leader can assess and boot whomever does not meet minimum requirements. Now, random MM will not work well because you'll inevitably end up with any number of group members which are, well worthless. You'll spend more time group hopping than playing.
-
8 AntwortenLeave destiny alone. Matchmaking in a raid is, and always will be a bad idea.
-
7 AntwortenDestiny definitely needs in game lfg. If I have to go outside the game to find a team then that part of the game has failed

Look, I know what we've been told about the absence of matchmaking by Bungie... But... It doesn't pass the sniff test. "LFG is better" is nonsense. It simply can't be a matter of "we think 'no matchmaking' is better". It has to be a matter of "matchmaking isn't our priority... who knows when we'll get to it" ...OR... "we have no interest in spending money to write a matchmaking component, but we are nerfing fusion rifles"
-
8 AntwortenBut, you don't require heavy coordination in the division. Have you never played a raid?
-
1 AntwortenBearbeitet von AJ: 3/9/2016 2:50:10 PMPeople still play that game....?
-
If the lobby leader kicks people then it's not legit matchmaking, it's bungie's way

3 AntwortenCourt of oryx, fanatic of Crota says otherwise.

7 AntwortenNightfalls agreed but not raiding. lmao at hard pve content?? Sit in cover, shoot bullet sponges, move to different cover, shoot bullet sponges, revive, shoot bullet sponges, complete. U don't even need to say a word to complete it. Come on
-
While I agree the mm is cool, you ran the equivalent of doing a hard mission in y1 destiny. That's hardly endgame or very difficult in the least. I still believe true endgame activities, such as raids or trials, have no business being match made.

13 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kaizer Willhelm: 3/9/2016 11:24:11 AMSo what if the lobby leader is a total asshole, you mess up once at oryx and he decides to kick you? What if he doesn't even have a reason and kicks you anyway? Trolls, people without mics, people who stay AFK, there are far too many reasons why raid matchmaking would be terrible. 'End Game' content on the divison and destiny is a terrible comparison, everyone in a raid everyone has a specific roll they have to complete and the division end game content? No doubt it is just tougher soul-less bullet sponges.

14 AntwortenBearbeitet von I am Skullshot: 3/9/2016 11:46:13 AMMy friend and I were doing a level with level 14 enemies, matchmaking was left open....... Level 6 joined...... Yes amazing matchmaking. It isn't any different then strikes in destiny and honestly division even on hard difficulties when you play it wisely isn't hard at all xD already logged over a day of game time, have k guess decent luck with guns. Like its a good game but the pve side isn't hard enough by a long shot.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von chickengoujohn93: 3/9/2016 12:58:57 PMBut the mechanics were to simply shoot the AI. Imagine being match made with guys who haven't a clue about anti clockwise, sniping knights, grabbing relics, detonating bombs, weakening orbs, grabbing gaze all whilst having no mics, being under leveled and using Sidearms. The only thing that doesn't have matchmaking in this game which should have it is the Nightfalls, which is one activity. When shit gets tough in The Division, when the Raid like activities are introduced, all the hardcore players will be using LFG sites. Matchmaking will be scrub nation for the Divisions high end PvE content in the coming weeks. In theory it provides nothing for the hardcore player base. Having said that it will provide nothing for the lazy/casual playerbase because being constantly matchmade with inept players prevents you from completing said activity.

2 AntwortenI agree with you but to be fair, the missions in division that you matchmake for don't have the level of coordination needed or the mechanics that the raids in destiny do. Should matchmaking for standard mission on planets be a thing in destiny? Yes. Should matchmaking for raids? Absolutely not

i always thought it would be cool to have a kiosk in the tower that you could put your guardian into, and search fireteams until you found the right one, or they found you. but honestly that sounds more like lfg than anything. you couldn't just add straight matchmaking to raids for obvious reasons. maaaybe nightfalls... but the way i see it is that there is a line between the two options, and it's really hard to get in between it. I feel that there is a good reason these forums exist. endgame PvE content wasn't meant to be taken lightly. they intended for you to play with similar groups each week, and to learn mechanics and strategies together. but ever since crota's end, it has become something entirely different. most people try to resolve the issue by filling their friends list to the brim, hoping to fill a spot in the raid each week with a few friends. others have a dedicated clan that runs raid 3 times over on reset day. i think the later of the two was how raiding was intended to work, but that statement alone doesn't eliminate the problem. matchmaking will only create further problems. but somewhere in between is a fair solution that would help alleviate the issue. my idea at the top might set a good example. It has room for improvement, but i'm sure the op would enjoy the idea.

Lucky, I couldn't find a team for shit on hard matchmaking lol
-
I agree with this except raids. Raids should require outside help.
