Ran a couple of hard missions on the division and the matchmaking worked flawlessly.
Instead of fumbling through forums looking to do nightfall strikes or a raid why can't bungie just have us create a lobby with certain requirments and ppl can just load into the lobby? The lobby leader can kick whoever that dont seem fit to run raid/nightfall and another person just takes their place.
If you disagree. Without throwing insults or trolling pls explain how is going on your mobile device and finding random ppl better than letting matchmaking do it for you.
I appreciate the feedback guys.

Bearbeitet von GEN JUSTIN: 3/9/2016 11:18:31 PMThis is something I really enjoy about the division. Also something on a side note. I was doing a mission on hard and was at the final boss and then guess what? I lagged out. Thinking "well here's to doing the whole mission again" I rebooted my game. And after waiting for an extended period of time I finally logged in and to my complete surprise I was in the same match that I had previously lagged out on. I finished the level got my loot and was happy as could be. Now if only bungie would do that. Btw this was with randoms too. No invite needed.

The only issue with the division's matchmaking is that it allows underleveld players to queue in. So it could have a lvl requirement of 29 and you will get 24s in your group and it ruins it.

1 AntwortenAll I hear is a bunch of wannabe adults saying how raids with MM would be a bad idea. First of raids are simple. Extremely simple. Nothing hard about them at all. Second. LFG already has all the issue that you guys say MM might have. Thing is. I'd rather MM find me some guys than have to LFG through a bunch of retards that didn't meet the 'requirement' or that met them but still are incapable of completely their goddamn roll in the raid. So I'll keep it simple. All the idiots that want to group up in Lfg go for it. Don't hold back MM because you think your crappy excuse of finding a team may be better.

I think matchmaking for normal raids is a good idea.

23 AntwortenBearbeitet von Capt NSFW_Beard: 3/9/2016 7:22:42 PMTry running the sleeper quest or exotic Sword quest with randoms.... Its a nightmare Edit- haha I love this community. So much was assumed from just one sentence. I didnt say I couldn't get these missions done because of randoms or that it's impossible to do it with randoms. All I said is its a nightmare. Meaning unnecessary obstacles are created and simple tasks are made hard. Now I have completed the sleeper quest on all three characters and two of those with randoms. One went fine the other I had more pick ups than a 1 dollar hooker. I do not have all swords but that's more lack of motivation to grind out the special materials. Bolt was attempted with randoms but after a few games of randoms killing my knight I just waited for friends. Optional matchmaking is good but eventually you will run into a nightmare group and decide friends are more reliable.

24 AntwortenBearbeitet von GANTZ: 3/9/2016 8:48:04 AMDestiny needs matchmaking for everything because it's a pain to even get a game going , one has to waste countless hours with various forums spamming , discrimination based on gear/grimoire/light levels is strong in the community , not even speaking about people who kick others right before the rewards SOLUTION: add matchmaking as a option HOW? : simply add it into the game settings to turn matchmaking ON/OFF. if there is a pretty useless option to wear a helmet in the tower there , why isnt a matchmaking option available for those who need it ? i had to add over 500 random people to my friendlist which i mostly met during the initial game where i added em only and never saw em again, for each person i added i had to spend between 5-30 minutes forums spamming and waiting , if i take a generous average of 10 minutes per player im at 83 wasted hours only to overcome bad game design in terms of matchmaking and thats a joke considering the game had a 500M $ budget here's my experience with this current "brilliant" destiny matchmaking. 1.) start destiny 2.) decide to play something that doesn't have matchmaking 3.) look at my friendlist which has always about 100+ players online but i lost track who they are since i only added em for one game and they busy doing their own stuff 4.) go away from console to my laptop and spam forum threads , one post isnt enough because it gets lost after a minute in the depths of the thread 5.) go back to console to see if there are any friend requests 6.) if no friend requests , repeat steps 4 + 5 7.) if someone responds by just providing a nickname i have to write it down as its hard to memorize nicknames such as xxxSup3rPlayya5678xxx , the go back to enter it into my ps4 and send a friend request (often they already are in the game with another party by the time or not accepting my add because they already play) 8.) after 5-30 minutes depending on the luck i get enough friend requests , sometimes even more than is needed for the game , then i have to decide who to leave out which sucks for me as i hate doing that 9.) while playing with those random people i keep getting more friend requests for my old post from 30 minutes ago which i have to ignore , i hate doing that Optional Matchmaking alternative (as in Division for example): 1.) start destiny 2.) decide to play something , press matchmaking 3.) play with randoms

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von GANTZ: 3/9/2016 8:44:50 AMof course it does, plenty other games are proving already for years , "not possible" its just a sad excuse by desticles on why bungie cant get their matchmaking done
-
1 AntwortenAs long as it is an option with criteria to match its a great idea. And like you stated the ability to kick those not fit. Hopefully Bungie takes a few notes from Division.
-
No way!!! What this proves is that the division end game hard content is nothing more then everyone group up in the little healing thing and team shoot the same -blam!- over and over. The division is more repetitive then destiny in missions and combat.
-
Although I support OMM, your specific point won't hold. For nightfalls, maybe, but the raid coordination and communication bars are way too high to even begin to compare the two levels of difficulty. This is not to say that there shouldn't be omm for raids. However, mm groups all shooting at bullet sponges or groups of baddies is leagues different than a fireteam working together in a raid.
-
Warframe has had matchmaking for hard missions (Sorties) since 2012. I am afraid Warframe has clearly shown how it works long before the Division ever could.
-
I think the key is "optional" match making. If bungie implemented it to the raid or nightfalls, but as a choice, it would be fine. The problem is that destinys matchmaking is all or nothing, so you would always have to wait for everyone before going down from orbit or, God forbid, if someone dc and a random gets thrown in before they get back and you can't boot them because the game doesn't let you boot people in MM games.
-
Optional Matchmaking would be great by now...... If they just implement it and call it a day... It hurts no one, it wil benefit the solo, casual players.
-
2 AntwortenOptional matchmaking on everything is a great idea. There really is no viable argument that can be made against it. The real question is does Bungie actually have anyone capable of programming it correctly and making it work. Given the history of glitches, bugs, problems, and the mess that matchmaking is currently I am guessing that they do not have the capability to handle something like that. They can't even keep things easy to keep track of. You have to check the forums, website, Twitter, instagram, blog, and God only knows what else just to keep up. Everything about bungie and Destiny is a mess right now, but maybe they will take us on a walkthrough of the cosmodrome soon to make it all better.

Bearbeitet von シOblivionシ: 3/9/2016 8:59:57 AMYea. For instance. Lost to light to get the Black Spindle. Went like this. I kid you not. Wanted. 2 x 319 must have done it before. Must do it on first run. Must have exotic sword. Need one Titan and one hunter. Seriously, the expectations of some ( most people ) on lfg is just -blam!-ing crazy. Me and the wife did it first run. It was easy. We are both 310. It took us 10 minutes from start to finish. We spent over an hour on lfg messing around trying to meet the crazy expectations. Never again.

People being able to kick each other is still a very bad idea and many many people will abuse it. They just need regular old matchmaking. If everyone could join a quick raid with simple matchmaking everyone would learn it up and down. This way you don't run into problems where people just don't even bother trying end game stuff. With players being able to boot players it just runs the risk of players booting other players for no reason at all. Things like a friend just logged on or they don't have a certain gun etc. games are about fun and everyone deserves to play what they pay for.

Bearbeitet von Diamond D Nice: 3/12/2016 2:34:38 AMLack of Matchmaking for everything would be a deal breaker for me in destiny 2. Truth is every weekend I waste a good hour or more in orbit -blam!-ing around trying to join Lfg groups and since HOW more often then not, it's been a failure. Also, I actually like playing solo. I'm not gonna join a clan. I don't really want people knowing my business. Plus i'm an adult and though i don't mind playing with younger people, I don't want to join a clan and have young people all up in my business all the time. Having to friend them. I get that others like that aspect but its not for me. I just want to play. And I want to play when I have a hot minute to do so. And normally I simply don't play destiny because it's too much of a hassle. I jump on to do trials and before i know it a hour has gone by and i'm still responding to lfg posts. I can honestly say this one issue is likely a deal breaker because right now is rather not play than waste time trying to find groups on the Internet for often hours.

The matchmaking is incredible and the beauty of it is there are no prerequisites, I was going in as a level 5 into a lvl 7 mission with 2 other lvl 6's and 1 lvl 7 and still putting up a good fight to complete it. If it was destiny it would be what is you light level/guns/completions/kd before you even started the game. But i'm still waiting for the Destiny content bomb... Still a fan and always will be, C1ay Davis.

Amazing how it works. I guess Obisoft didn't forget that matchmaking has always been a part of multiplayer on line gaming from the start.

1 AntwortenI must admit I did some matchmaking and me and three other ransoms had an amazing time in the dark zone. Some of the most epic fun I've had in a video game. Even more fun than the first time I ran the Vault of glass. The Division might just wind up killing Destiny after all.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von harrymfa: 3/11/2016 1:20:39 AMThe Division seems to be developed by people who know how to make videogames instead of former Kotaku bloggers thinking they're the Second Coming of Miyamoto. - Social interactions and team playing are an integral part of the game. Matchmaking is built in for that purpose. - Proximity chat. Enough said. - Matchmaking is optional. You have privacy settings that allows you to play with randoms or with friends only. I'm not sure if this is correct, but it seems the game purposely puts people in your friends list in the same server you are. A few times, I have seen the map and it indicated the position of someone in my friends list. - Matchmaking can work as an effective LFG tool. You can choose which activity you want the game to find you people to play with. - The maps are designed for team play. Many routes of attack, flanking and overwatch. In many opportunities enemies are unaware you're coming, so it gives you a chance to coordinate an attack with your teammates and start engaging when everyone is ready. Don't get me wrong, you need a mic for that, but if no one has it, the game won't stop you from trying. Your firefights will be messier and likely far more difficult without coordination. A sloppy player can be a liability to the team (kick him out). - The classes are built for team play. Two of the first specialties allow you to heal teammates from a nearby radius, or to provide cover. You can also attract aggro with certain kind of guns. In resume, this is a game where coop is the front and center of the game, and it was designed from the ground up to make the most out of it. Another thing that I'm glad to see, the world is alive. Most NPCs are not merely vendors. If you ever wondered what goes on right outside of the Tower in Destiny, take a walk on the streets of The Division.

Totally agree, I'm loving the division, destiny has become a chore, I only play game modes with matchmaking now which leaves me with strikes and PVP and I don't go much on PVP.
-
2 AntwortenOptional matchmaking would be good for Destiny. I don't know why players are still arguing to this day over something that would be optional.

Bungie has this restriction solely to motivate you to find more buyers
