A lot of people stream themselves doing trails carries every weekend. Many of them then come to the forums and brag about how many Lighthouse carries they have completed and looking for new backpacks to watch and sub to their streams, which generate revenues for many of them. Some people simply charge a fee for a flawless run...
However, when they brag about 100 Lighthouse carries, all I think about is how many Guardians had their passages ended because of these douchebags. Yes, they are douchebags; ignorant blaming douchebags trying to make a living off a video game for which WE all paid and diminishing the gaming experience for thousands of other players.
How many Guardians would earn their trip to the Lighthouse themselves if there was a Trails lockout once a character went flawless? Why does Bungie facilitate these basement dwellers earning income off our game instead of making the game more player friendly and fostering better competition? Do they really think these losers are good for the game? Many of them are profane immature children, no; that is not a function of age, that very often bash Bungie and/or the rest of the community while they make profits off so doing.
Add a Weekly (Sunday) "Deliberations of Osiris Tournament" for the top teams based on Flawless Trails scores as of the Sunday Morning Reset. These teams play an Elimination tournament called "The Verdict of Osiris" with guaranteed gear and the "Executioner of Osiris" emblem for only the overall tournament winning team each week. The top 2% would have this event to themselves and I suspect that streams from such a tournament would be viewed by many; even those that don't watch such things now...Win-Win-Win for everybody!
Lastly, add Matchmaking to ToO so everybody can complete the bounties each week and perhaps make some new ToO friends with which they may someday go to the Lighthouse. Even if you need three or four passages to complete your bounties, at least you would be able to so do.
TLDR: Once anybody finishes their flawless run on a character, lock that character out of further ToO access so that people can earn their flawless emblems and gear instead of “buying” them from these douchebags.
Not all streamers are douchebags, just most of them...IMO!
Not saying I disagree with your opinion here. It would make it an actual exclusive event, where those dedicated Guardians can be in their own special club. I also am of the opinion that stupid people deserve to have their money taken.

I think it would be a good idea to put flawless players into a separate pool where they compete against one another. If one person out of the three are flawless then they all go in the flawless pool. Locking them out is slightly unfair.

Problem is that people would then cry about the emblem they can't get because they can't win the verdict of osiris. Ligjthouse has very little over flat out gold packages. Which you can get with minimal effort. It's as flat as it's ever been because of the bounties and rewards, and I don't see the point in letting people into the lighthouse willy nilly and making another rung on the ladder for people to whine about not getting to.

Bearbeitet von TAZ__KID: 3/8/2016 11:39:44 PMFrom what I and my group have seen in Trials most of the time skill has nothing to do with the other team going flawless. We lost 0 and 5 to a team last night due to never even seeing a guy and every time we saw him in the kill feed it showed us a good 20+ feet behind a wall that he would have had to shoot through to hit us then we look at his signal and of course he is red bar. Then you have matches like this on a regular basis where they are green bar yet hop and skip all over and take no damage. There is no skill involved in these kinds of matches only lag and my guys getting so mad we can't aim or think straight cause of the constant crap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uybq3pXv-fo

I've gotten 20-25 people to the Lighthouse with my help while solo and I stopped playing Trials because it's getting way to campy. I currently play 3 raids, 3 nightfalls (for reputation, already have every perfectly rolled weapon and exotic) and Iron Banana. Got to get them Camelot armors!

1 AntwortenThey need to do something with the no lifers that play all weekend long. Playing against good players isn't the problem with trials. They are beatable. The main problem I have with trials, is connection. Not only does the game give you better players. But these better players are, 90% of the time lagging their ass off. Either it be from streaming their gameplay, living out in the boonies, stealing from mcdonalds or flat out cheating. Nothing pisses me off more then getting 8 wins, to lose back to back to red bar players. Bungie needs to kick these people to orbit as soon as they are red. The game should recognize lag switching and ddos attacking and boot these players, either ban them or block them from trials. Year one, I went flawless every weekend. Sometimes it took two or 3 cards to do, per character. But I done it. Year two. Its 2-3 to 4 to 5 cards cause of bad connections. Not cause of good players. I get stuck with the biggest pieces of shit laggers this game has to offer. By this time, I am annoyed for even bothering and spending countless hours trying to get there to run into this bullshit. They need to make a package that lets you go to the lighthouse regardless. You wont get an adept weapon, but you should still be able to open the chest to get a normal weapon. There are day one players that play everyday that still never seen the lighthouse. Being carried and paying you're way shouldn't even be an option. I paid my way one time to see what the difference was from playing and being carried. I honestly think, people that carry others are cheating in the game. I don't know how they do it. But I felt a huge difference in being carried. I could miss my shots and still get a kill. My character agility was sped up and I felt like I took half damage. How this is possible. I don't know. I didn't get any messages saying I was lagging, my connection stayed green. But something was way different. I did get kicked to orbit on the 2nd round, which never happens to me and the whole time my connection was green. There is shady shit going on.

I didn't want to agree with you, but I do. I don't do carries and I only go flawless on my warlock and Titan (screw my hunter lol) if I like the map. If I don't like it then I either don't try or just use my warlock.

One time to the lighthouse each weekend. That's how it should be.

2 AntwortenIt's meant to be difficult. Yes, you can get lucky and go to the lighthouse, but that is the nature of matchmaking. We are in the same pool, you match with the elite players, or the trashiest or trash. Either git gud, or git out. ~TheGreatNike

I can understand the frustration. But these guys paid for the game just like you did. So you want to lock people out of content bc they are too good? I've been flawless 7 times all in year two. You do not need to be in the top 1% to go. Honestly just get better at the game.
-
The fact that a team can't essentially beat someone that's going in 3v1 shows that those teams that get "shut out" of the Lighthouse, never really deserved to go there in the first place.
-
Locking it out would be dumb, people replay it because it's intense, I love ending people's passages. If they locked it out, more and more people would make it to the lighthouse that are not actually good. Life isn't fair dude, some people are better at things than others. Get over it, or get better
-
1 AntwortenTrials should be freelance.
-
1 AntwortenTrials is a game mode for the above average players. It is completely ridiculous to lock people out of content they enjoy simply because they are "too good" at it. I am the definition of crucible AVERAGE and I have been flawless plenty of times.
-
After looking at your trials report, the problem is definitely you
-
maybe you should try improving at pvp. it's endgame for a reason
-
2 AntwortenTLDR: I've never been flawless.
-
yes, bungie was clear when they released trials, it is for the most competitive players. #notsarcasm
-
1 AntwortenI mostly agree. I think there should be some kind of lock-out for players that already made it to the lighthouse in that week. Maybe put them together in a separate pool or something. Who knows, I just want to see the lighthouse. Yes, I'm not great at PvP.. But I'm practicing!
-
LOL YOU JUST SUCK. . 48 TRIALS KD REALLY? I can at least carry my own weight.
-
Nah u a bitch.
u forgetting that most people may never make it, unless carried by "douchebags...........
I do understand the current frustration with trials. I however would hope you don't blame any player for that though correct? They changed it to card win matches instead of random. Last year it was somewhat easier and even lucky to get matched with easy opponents. Or it could be the unfortunate opposite, mostly it was a mix of both. This year obviously at the end is when you'll see the struggle. Why do you think streaming became so popular? I know you said they're not all bad and no they're not. It's those few asshats and jack wagons who want to take advantage and stain true streamer reputations.... And that's disgusting. Bungie doesn't facilitate that, that's just a part of twitch where long term streamers have subcribers, and newer ones can get donations/tips on the viewers behalf. Anyone else asking for shit is as you described, a loser. Streaming involves that persons info and account and sometimes even their face when they do this. They're putting themselves out there and if anybody is getting taken advantage of, Twitch will have no part of and get rid of you. There are some who've been helping folks since the 1st trials and older raids WAY before this over-saturation of streaming you see now. Destiny realllllly implies you to do teamwork and to make friends so that's what you'll have to do. Considering LFG. That thing is a damned nightmare, and progresses worse as so while casual players move on- leaving experienced more serious pvp players behind. Technically pvp is like our life vest that keeps the game afloat during periods of "nothing" for PvE. So those who have a challenge finding competent players or those who aren't high up on their "requirements !" high horses, finding streamers who give their free time to help is a very good option for them. Overall it isn't supposed to be a walk in the park. Researching the grimoire for it explains it as so. It even says that you sometimes get there just by being lucky.... Anyways. Maybe they may make an alternate mode for serious competitors or they may revert the matching concept because of the few trying to take advantage... Who knows.... But no matter what... This is all the pvp players have that's fun and competitive.. They should never ever be locked out. Doing a raid once and being locked out would be the equivalent. So no friend time, fun time or getting experience then if I were locked out??? I would have to "choose my permanent 5 for that week for a raid?" Or permanent 2 for trials.... Oh my god. That would really make the forums implode.... Don't make a limited game more limited. The lighthouse as an endgame activity that gives you the top tier rewards should stay that way. There are so many others out there that are not as you described. It's unfortunate you haven't had the pleasure of finding such players. Also never forget, it's not just you, it's the other 2 as well. This is more team dependent than kings fall, or pretty much just as equal. Besides, wouldn't be the best practice you'll ever get be playing against top tier players or playing right along side of them? Learn from those experiences. You won't learn a damn thing otherwise.
