A lot of people stream themselves doing trails carries every weekend. Many of them then come to the forums and brag about how many Lighthouse carries they have completed and looking for new backpacks to watch and sub to their streams, which generate revenues for many of them. Some people simply charge a fee for a flawless run...
However, when they brag about 100 Lighthouse carries, all I think about is how many Guardians had their passages ended because of these douchebags. Yes, they are douchebags; ignorant blaming douchebags trying to make a living off a video game for which WE all paid and diminishing the gaming experience for thousands of other players.
How many Guardians would earn their trip to the Lighthouse themselves if there was a Trails lockout once a character went flawless? Why does Bungie facilitate these basement dwellers earning income off our game instead of making the game more player friendly and fostering better competition? Do they really think these losers are good for the game? Many of them are profane immature children, no; that is not a function of age, that very often bash Bungie and/or the rest of the community while they make profits off so doing.
Add a Weekly (Sunday) "Deliberations of Osiris Tournament" for the top teams based on Flawless Trails scores as of the Sunday Morning Reset. These teams play an Elimination tournament called "The Verdict of Osiris" with guaranteed gear and the "Executioner of Osiris" emblem for only the overall tournament winning team each week. The top 2% would have this event to themselves and I suspect that streams from such a tournament would be viewed by many; even those that don't watch such things now...Win-Win-Win for everybody!
Lastly, add Matchmaking to ToO so everybody can complete the bounties each week and perhaps make some new ToO friends with which they may someday go to the Lighthouse. Even if you need three or four passages to complete your bounties, at least you would be able to so do.
TLDR: Once anybody finishes their flawless run on a character, lock that character out of further ToO access so that people can earn their flawless emblems and gear instead of “buying” them from these douchebags.
Not all streamers are douchebags, just most of them...IMO!
Another Bernie Sanders supporter in this forum. Participation medals for everyone! No more first places because that will make people feel bad.

I think it's great that gamers are finding a way to generate income with their hobby. I personally don't really plan on going flawless because I'm not that great, but I know that there are a lot of really bad players out there who could only over dream of going to the lighthouse. Destiny is their favorite thing in the whole world yet they feel locked out of some of its best gear. These streamers are really helping themselves by helping others. I think it's a positive trade, plus their views ramp up Destiny hype and play a part in keeping the servers populated.

I am a douche bag who helps people out for free in my free time, i use twitch because it is the easiest way for me. Ps Locking players out will never happen as it is terrible business sense when it is one of the game modes that still draws people to their game every weekend.
-
Seriously? So if you want the Scarab I guess you're SOL. Or if you want to continue playing because you enjoy it? Too bad. Get better, and that won't be an issue. I've never went flawless and probably never will. I would never want others locked out just so I had a better chance at it.
-
1 AntwortenNever been flawless. 6 wins at best so far. I'm not top 2% (don't think you need to be) but I don't have a steady team for ToO which is probably the biggest setback.
-
Here in sorry to be this guy bud but your idea is flawed you know how easy it is to carry someone flawless but not go flawless yourself? They buy all the boons you don't buy any BOOM first win they're already two games ahead of you they go flawless your on 7 wins delete the card rinse repeat!!! It sounded like a good idea but players are smarter than you think bro gamers will always find loopholes glitches work around a etc. keep that in mind.

1 AntwortenIronically the best day to play trials is Friday / Saturday , idk why but whenever I play on a Monday I get my ass handed to me
-
Hey I'm a streamer and it is for all players who have played trials also of you want to check your stats and see your actual ranking checkout guardian.gg also if you want your enemy teams stats check destinytrialsreport.com

1 AntwortenMaybe, if you already went flawless that weekend you only get matched with people that also went flawless? And yeah, I agree on the matchmaking part
-
Equality of opportunity, not outcome
-
I've been saying this forever . Once u o flawless you 100% should be put in a different bracket for that week .. It's kinda dumb to go up against teams with 2.8kds and all 3 have over 70 flawless runs.. I usually make it flawless regardless but it's only when I'm lucky enough to dodge these teams .. Plus I don't think it's right that people are paying to win.

Bearbeitet von richycj133: 3/10/2016 5:23:30 PMPeople can play how ever they want why should someone be locked out of trials if they go flawless they paid for the game if they wanna keep playing the only real competitive game mode in the game then let them. Tbh i dont see why bungie should hand you an easy trials win anyway if you and your team arent good enough to beat a team that has gone flawless then you dont deserve to go flawless mabey go into skirmish or elimination and practice team work and communication and match making is a bad idea because if you come against a team of 3 with good communication your gunna have a bad time
-
1 AntwortenYes matchmaking
i just want to pub stomp the people that are match made teams
-
1 AntwortenIts reserved for the Sunlock Thorn-Firebolt users only.
-
If you cant beat them when they have 2 shitty people on their team you don't deserve the lighthouse anyway xD
-
You sir are a douchebag not the streamers haha mostly because the people they carry buy the boons and they don't so they don't actually go flawless but help others be flawless so they would still be playing against the masses anyway
-
Does anyone really care, just have fun and try your best and you'll be good

5 AntwortenToO was meant for high level play. They said this a long time ago. If you or anyone else don't have the skill to go flawless then you have two options. Practice and get better at PvP. Or play any other part of the game. This is one PvP game type in the whole game that is designed to provide a challenge for the higher skilled player. And people have to complain because they don't have enough skill. It's not Bungie's fault you can't go flawless. Those people that continue to go flawless aren't given some advantage from bungie. They are skilled players playing in the only part of the whole game that is designed specifically for them.

If you're looking for a carry, I got you bb.

I don't agree with locking us out of trials just because we went flawless. While the trials of Osiris is for everyone, it also is supposed to support competition. And locking players who have already went flawless out of trials would be a contradiction of saying that trials is for everyone IMO. No hard feelings, but it's not like they suspend an NFL player's contract for a year just because they won the Super Bowl. You gotta understand that locking us out of the lighthouse would just be an unfair and unrealistic solution. The only fair, real solution is practicing until you get there like the rest of us.
-
4 AntwortenI'll fix this for you. It's not fair that someone is better at something than me. I'm going to vent on forum filled with uneducated, filthy rotten manchild trolls to get some attention.
-
2 AntwortenI'm pretty awful. Check my k/d it's not very good but if you check my trials report I think I've gone flawless like 12 times. Not bragging but anyone can make it to the lighthouse with the right team.
-
Matchmaking !
-
I'm never gonna get there..I know that now and I've given up even trying. Not many of my friends play destiny much or trials so it's something I'll never get the chance to play...so I agree on adding matchmaking so the rest of destiny can try it

2 AntwortenI have only faced a big name streamer one time. Even though we lost it was cool knowing we were on air at the time. I wish it happened more often when I played trials tbh.
