Open world. RDR was the most godly game I've ever played.

Combat or story. Don't really care about much else

Open world is not a requirement for a great game and more often than not is done poorly. Linear or semi-linear design works extremely well. Good combat is always welcome, but in games where there is no combat this would obviously not exist. Freedom of choice and options are a welcome edition to every type of game there is, and there is no reason for them to not be there aside from time constraints. The more the merrier. Loot is not something that most games have, it's a rather specific mechanic. Unneeded in most types of games. Multiplayer can improve any experience, when done right. But it is not a neccessity. Graphics are of little importance. Its just icing on the cake. Artistic style and direction are better for determining the mood and visual look of a game. Overall, the most important thing is that it's fun. Of course, this varies for everyone.

I'm a fan of open world games with modding support. It's the main thing I love about Bethesda games, mods keep me in a game for years. I've put thousands of hours into Elder Scrolls and Fallout games thanks to modding. I'm not a fan of all these multiplayer games that keep coming out so those are the games that keep me going.

Open world with just dozens of things to raid and loot. That's the perfect game for me. Skyrim would be it if the combat was a little better.

So when you say freedom of choice is it the kind where your choices have consequences and stuff like that?

I chose other, needs to be a great story... And not one we need to read in grimor cards.

The biggest thing is if the gameplay is fun. Why play a game that isn't fun in the first place? Then you need something that keeps you coming back. A great loot system usually does the trick. The story comes after for me, I've played a great many games with no story for a long time, that's just a bonus.

Good and not broken game play.

In a single player game, graphics go a long way for me. A really nice looking game makes it that more immersive. In a multiplayer game, usually how the game plays matters most.

Of those, Freedom of Choice #1. Tell a good tale #2. Solid Gameplay #3. Fun Co-op

Personally I prefer to have good immersion as in: -facial appearance -customization -environment Just to feel attached to my character as if he were my own.
