Almost every match I go into has someone equipping Ice Breaker or a sidearm (sometimes even an Invective) and the end result is people cheese it to get special ammo.
I don't play Trials that often, I never played it in year 1. But ever since Bungie did this I've seen more and more people use this cheap tactic to gain an edge on the opponent.
Its really cheap and it takes away from what Bungie was "Trying" to fix...
I've contemplated reporting people for cheating if they do this tactic but while most people would consider this cheating, I consider it unsportsmanlike. And as such I have yet to report someone, it just annoys the hell out of me.
I've never been to the lighthouse, I'm not really that good at crucible or any PvP for that matter. I don't think this is a matter of getting good either because I personally feel that anyone who does this tactic is a cheap player and can't play the way Bungie is "Trying" to get us to play.
Personally, I think Trials should be no radar, no heavy, no special period.

If I use my sidearm, I actually use. The fire rate and close range damage is amazing.
-
Lmfao not like reporting someone has consequences
-
"Personally, I think Trials should be no radar, no heavy, no special period." Revives would have to go as well. OR, the immunity on revives and the shield it grants would need to go. It is not practical to deal with revives in the current state without a special weapon.

Simple...I think, make it like heavy, when you die you loose special. And lets be honest, if they wanted too they could prevent Icebreaker and Invective from generating ammo in ToO. Sometimes I think they do these things just so we keep talking on the forums, as long as the forums are full that means people are playing......negative feed back is better than no feed back.

There's an easy solution. Just make everyone start with zero Special Ammo each round and fix the ammo swap trick in PvP. If players just camp the Special boxes until they appear, lengthen the timers. This all happened because people were using their shotguns and snipers as primaries.
-
2 AntwortenI use icebreaker to get special and I wish they would switch it back the way it was. And I usually use shotgun in trials so I don't mind the snipers having bullets right away. If I didn't use icebreaker I would be at a disadvantage.
-
9 AntwortenSo you aren't good at pvp. You don't play trials a lot. And yet here you are complaining about those very things.
-
2 AntwortenI really hope they don't nerf side arms. I think them spawning with ammo is one of the plus sides of the weapon. I always hated fusions and shotguns because it made me feel like a 1 trick pony, so always used sniper. But lately I have been using double pistol builds and it is dope.. they're such a fun utility weapon and more versatile than most people would think
-
I don't play much pvp what's this sidearm cheese you speak of?
-
I go in with a sidearm and keep it equipped most of the time. I'm not a shotgunner or sniper and almost never use them, especially in ToO. Heck in Iron Banner, the bounty to get 25 kills with a special weapon takes me longer than any other. Point being, not everyone who starts ToO with a sidearm is using it to cheese the special ammo restriction. Bungie just needs to prevent special ammo from swapping while in PvP, or at least in the playlists with restrictions.

2 AntwortenCouldn't agree less about no radar. Every round would go to OT as people slowly move around the map, checking every corner for a player hiding with a shotgun. Having an active radar is what brought me to this game over CoD. I only get camped 1 in every 1000 deaths in Destiny. I love that.
-
Played a lot last night and literally one guy equipped his icebreaker but he actually used it. Only one team used the switch exploit for ammo. Why does anyone care about any of it? You almost always get special ammo anyway
-
Its not relly a cheese cause they not cheating. They exploited the games rules and found holes in them with weapons. There exploting the system and bungie will do something. It will happen. We just dont know when....could be awhile.
-
4 AntwortenIf there's no radar I would imagine trials as anyone who can jump above you with a shotgun gets the kill.
-
I've seen people use sidearms in Trials. They almost destroyed us.
-
2 AntwortenSo because I love my ironwreath and I use it in every PvP gamemode you would report me. I can understand getting pissy about icebreaker but a sidearm really???
-
9 AntwortenYou made me hate you once you said you would report them. I was recently banned for a week for no reason. The only thing I concluded was after trials last weekend I got many messages from people saying they were reporting my team for tbagging amount other things like us winning. It's people like you that abuse the report system and get people banned when they shouldn't be
-
Throw no revives onto that list as well.
-
2 AntwortenAhem. I acutally use my sidearm
-
I will wait til the very last second and make sure no one on the other team switches to it. If they do then 2 goes to ice and one to sidearm. Easy thing is 2 act like trying to snipe. Gets everyone's attention and third guy goes around and murders them. Lol

Bearbeitet von The Swza: 3/7/2016 2:14:05 PMI made a similar post the first week the change was implemented because in my FIRST game of Trials that Friday the whole team was using Ice Breaker. It's very frustrating. Unfortunately over the last few weeks I've had to start using the sidearm for the first few rounds because of not you're just effing yourself over. Thing is with me I actually get kills with it. I do usually end up switching to a shotty or fusion rifle later. The ice breaker is just way too cheap of a move.

1 AntwortenThis isn't cheating bro. Anyone can do it.
-
16 AntwortenYou don't play it a lot like you said. So shut up.
-
1 AntwortenI only really do it in trials because if something happens and you lose the first round without getting special the enemy team grabs it and has map Control for the rest of the game If you look at shrine this week it's actually possible to keep the outside spawn away from all special and have a massive advantage.

I'll keep using my NLB havoc pigeon until my havoc pigeon fails to beat the last word and the doctrine
