Eliminating special from Trials exposed the biggest cheese in PvP even more than it was already known.
Almost every match I go into has someone equipping Ice Breaker or a sidearm (sometimes even an Invective) and the end result is people cheese it to get special ammo.
I don't play Trials that often, I never played it in year 1. But ever since Bungie did this I've seen more and more people use this cheap tactic to gain an edge on the opponent.
Its really cheap and it takes away from what Bungie was "Trying" to fix...
I've contemplated reporting people for cheating if they do this tactic but while most people would consider this cheating, I consider it unsportsmanlike. And as such I have yet to report someone, it just annoys the hell out of me.
I've never been to the lighthouse, I'm not really that good at crucible or any PvP for that matter. I don't think this is a matter of getting good either because I personally feel that anyone who does this tactic is a cheap player and can't play the way Bungie is "Trying" to get us to play.
Personally, I think Trials should be no radar, no heavy, no special period.

5 AntwortenI agree with your points about icebreaker But not with side arms and invective I have a 320 havoc pigeon that i use for trials and that is actually what i use, its not exploiting the game But from what i know of the exploit you cant spawn in and just swap to another secondary because you will just end up with no special again, it has to be done at round end so basically you have all of round 1 to get special.... Also invectives timer for ammo regen is like 30 seconds...and at that point you may aswell just wait for special especially since you only get 4 rounds which people tend to spray mindlessly into a single opponent The only problem in my opinion is icebreaker id rather see 3 doctrine of passings thousand yards and truth than to see an icebreaker it makes me say "god damn what a scrub..." Easy solution is special ammo resets every round. Also sidearm and icebreaker ammo shouldn't convert to ammo for other guns.

I'd rather they just restored it to the special ammo start tbh. I use a sidearm, I change it after round 1. It's not a whole lot different since I play the first round with no special, it just helps make sure I've got it if we kill the opposition too quickly for special to spawn, or helps even it out if they win round 1 and grab special at the end. I personally hate Icebreaker though, simply because that does wholly defeat the purpose. I hate spawning in with no sniper and being sniped. If I see a team of 3 icebreakers, then I'll put it on, but man I hate it. Special starts were way better imo. They should just start you off with half a mag of special, have no special crates spawn and replace heavy round with special round.

It all boils down to no secondary ammo should be kept if switching in Trials. No matter if it's in the load screen or not. Yall over complicating this crap.

2 AntwortenSo someone dropping their light level to 300 or under is cheating? It's actually giving you an advantage. I hate to break it to you but Special ammo spawns 20 seconds into a trials match it's always been that way. Using sidearms or regenerative perks is not cheating. 4 AntwortenI have no problem with people that use icebreaker/sidearms/invective. My problem starts when 99% of people use these guns first, then switch to a 1000 yard. They do it bc they don't want to worry about special ammo. It's an exploit, and eventually it will be patched out. Bungie will probably just make it a simple, you lose all special ammo regardless of you switch weapons when your dead or not. But to be honest, it was stupid for them to remove special in the first place.

1 AntwortenRemove ammo crates and give each player one magazine of special per round at the beginning of the round. No regen, no pick ups, no carry over... just one magazine, use it all then you're out.

6 AntwortenIt's not the gun it's the player Doesn't matter what bungie nerfs/buffs/removes/balances it won't help you aim in fps Even if you refuse to use the special ammo glitch that's not what's holding you back. Doesn't matter what they do your still gonna get outgunned. The only thing that will make you happy is if you don't have to do anything like aim or move you just want people to die without doing any things and get the scarab emblem without moving your character or shooting or doing anything. The special ammo is like it is because of complainers like you ruined pvp for everybody else. Just stop crying and maybe bungie will stop ruining pvp

Bungie added a mechanic that they knew could be easily exploited, I don't blame people using IB or sidearms I blame Bungie for adding a clearly broken mechanic to a very competitive game mode.

Not considered cheating, if it is in the game it's allowed. No special ammo it's smart to equip a weapon the regens it.

Remove icebreaker giving ammo to other specials on switch and its fair.

I almost always exclusively run sidearms in pvp. I think just 1 round of special would do, from one crate like heavy, and weapon changes should remove all ammo.

TRIGGER WARNING: Me and my clan members Imperial and Jason, played against probly over 9000 and stomped him. They woon heavy, and they won because of their supers once. But we curb stomped them. I watched the stream save, we are the last Game of his passed 15 hour stream, and he was doing this glitch. He was switching between icebreaker and sidearm and doing all that stuff to cheese for special. Wiped em so many times. Hes a salty player, and he's cheap as all hell. I enjoyed making him eat dirt. I didn't even know he was a streamer until ImperialBREEDZ told me. Gosh he's a bitch.
