Black Spindle Respect
After a day of many multiple attempts at the Black Spindle; I have a new found respect for for those who have it. We (multiple groups of "we") could easily get to the Taniks wannabe with 6 min remaining but then it's blight/adds management hell. We managed to get the big guy down once with 1:30 remaining but there were so many adds.

So hats off to you Black Spindle holders. Hope it's worth the PTSD
EDIT: Big shoutout to @Sniping piikey, and an LFG random @UNR34LG4MER. Thanks to them, I managed to finally get the Black Spindle. I was starting to think I was the problem.

Not really worth your exotic slot, just use the Vanguard vendor sniper. It's got Longview for stupid aim assist, triple tap which is sadly better than white nail, perfect balance because nobody likes recoil, and mulligan because we all suck.

It was brutal. Gotta focus on clearing adds as the main thing. Only DPS the boss when the room is relatively clear. Got it done that way when I was in the 290s on light, I think. Hope that helps!

1 AntwortenI wish this game had more challenges like this. I personally think that all exotic weapons should be earned this way. It was fun, challenging, and once you finally got it, you actually felt like you had truly accomplished something. No RNG, no way to "boost", and a clear path to obtaining it.

take out the blights as quick as possible then put damage on the boss then clear adds

The group I was in practically carried me but I noticed they both used exotic swords and destroyed the adds quickly.

For my team, a defender titan will focus boss from the top room. I'm a hunter and run nightstalker and chuck a tether on the boss whenever I can, also helps slowing down some adds. I'll use raze lighter and stillpiercer, take blights out with four quick shots then I'll focus the knights, centourions and captains while the other guy will focus psions. I've seen a lot of different strategies, and they all work. This one works for us. We got another guy through yesterday with 2:00 on the clock. We had many, many failed attempts before we managed to get it originally. Feels great to finish it for the first time, especially if you get the ship. The first time we ever finished it though it was 1min past reset... Didn't get the reward... Was a little salty...

1 AntwortenWhen I completed it we had a team of each new subclass and only used the sleeper for the boss. The strat is to go all out on the boss without focusing on adds until he's dead. Afterwards TTK subclass supers make it a piece of cake with clearing adds

Best advice is to kill the blights and adds as quickly as possible and don't worry about the boss until Blights stop appearing. Did it with around 1:30 left a few weeks ago.

It's not that hard tbh. When you get to the boss room don't care about the boss once you enter first thing you do is clear all adds, Blights are number 1 priority. Then kill majors, then the rest of the ads. After that No ads will spawn until the boss has taken a cirtain amount of damdge. you will have to repeat this EXACT process about 4 times. after the fourth wave is down, no more ads will spawn and you can kill the boss freely. You're also going to want ad clearing Supers, best in my opinion is Storm caller and hammer of sol. Of you're a hunter use tether to create orbs.

It's not bad once you know what to do. Take out the blights first and use offensive supers.

I got it yesterday too. Big shot out to the two that helped me. There was no carry, we all did our part. Shot out to the twitch streamer from yesterday. Got some useful tips from him. [spoiler]I don't remember any of the gamer tags atm but I did friend them.[/spoiler] Now if only I can get that ToM.

Its pretty simple if you know how to do it. Yesterday I spent about 3 to 4 hours just helping ppl get the spindle in the lfg chat and in one run we had a 260 and a 303 with me and we finished it with 3:00 minutes left on the clock.

PTSD is right, I actually dreamt about the mission 4 times after I got my Spindle.

Did it 3 times yesterday. Closest attempt was with my seven year old and his nine year old friend. It really helps to have subclasses that produce a lot of orbs so that your storm caller can continuously stormtrance the room.

Last time I would carry anyone to get it, 2 at a time. I'll do the same next time it comes around. Just the two of us, he used a non fully upgraded Stormcaller to clear the adds and I used a Sunsinger for the revive just incase. Sniped the black respawn orbs with four shots from a 1000 yard stare then he cleared the adds with storm which fed me orbs. We attacked the boss until new black respawn orbs appeared, I sniped them used my special, feeding him orbs and rinse and repeat until adds were clear and boss was down. I got the sniper, he got the sniper and the ship.
