Damn 75% of people any convince children with words so they have to hit them.
-
I wouldn't say it's abuse, but Id never hit my child.
-
I support it, but then again there's a reason you humans call harsh punishment draconian.
-
Ideally, it shouldn't be necessary. I got hit by my mom once that I can remember, and it was for something really shitty that I did. Otherwise, they used words to teach me and discipline me, and that was enough.
-
1 AntwortenI probably wouldn't be the person I am today without spankings. A friend of mine always got spankings but his baby brother is his moms "baby" so he never gets spanked or disciplined. He get is the brattiest piece of shit I've ever met

1 AntwortenNext you're gonna tell me I can't beat my wife.....

It's a good thing most of b.net will remain virgins.
-
1 AntwortenIf my generation went through it, yours will too.
-
Beat the fucking shut out of them.
-
1 AntwortenJust never hit them where the bruise will show.
-
I've come to believe it is abuse since I started educating myself in my spare time. Before I wouldv'e said nah man
-
1 AntwortenI believe violence is never the answer, but for my young children, they do not have the capacity to respect so in that case, let them suffer pain. Let them burn.
-
It was used on me and I am strongly against it.
-
I don't have a kid, so I can't say. It does resemble the way monkey's beat their offspring though......
-
Well just expect them to hit back cause that's what they perceive it as. If someone makes them mad then its okay to hit them.
-
Some kids will only respond to that kind of discipline. It should never be the go-to option though, as for the majority of kids it likely won't help.
-
Depends on the age
-
32 AntwortenSpare the rod, spoil the child! These little brats in school need some beatings. Disrespectful little shits!

6 AntwortenJesus Christ. It's not like it's torture. I didn't get water boarded, or zapped with some car batteries while wire tied in the god damn bathroom. I got my ass spanked. The fleshiest least painful place to be hit. I learned respect. I learned to listen and behave. It's didn't turn me into some psycho killer clown.? Bunch of god damn pussies.
-
I argue that it's good for them. However, the only other option shouldn't be "It's abuse." That's a false dilemma.

2 AntwortenThe only physical abuse is my mental abuse. Mind -blam!-ing them to show who's alpha is better than getting out a ruler and shoving up their ass. You don't need force to show who's boss, intellectual force is better.
contradiction for the win
4 AntwortenWhat papa franku says
anywhere but the face
-
It depends on how often and how hard. My brother and I got our asses beat constantly as children for some really mundane typical kid stuff and all it did was scare us and eventually made us resent our parents to this day. I want my kids to respect me, not fear me. I think incentive based discipline is a better option for me personally. I have no plans to use physical correction as a method.
-
Determine how much you do it. If you do it for almost no reason, then it doesn't work
-
As long as it's not overdone. A little slap on the ass or slap on the face will teach better than anything else.
