I've been playing this game daily since launch. How? I have not a clue. I didn't care about k/d until very recently. Needless to say my k/d vs actual skill is very low. I'm pretty good now.
My question is, should I delete my characters and start over for k/d? Is it going to be a huge pain in the asshole? Am I going to be glad I did it?
Help me decide. Please community. I BEG YOU!
Thanks for all the opinions everyone. It's a resounding "NO WHO GIVES A FAQ DONT BE STUPID!" So I will not be doing this. You people are the best.

If you care about kd you're pathetic.

Let's hope you put that much thought in achieving a successful career. You know...a thing that matters

3 AntwortenKid. Get real. I'm saying kid because only a kid/teenager would even think about doing something this stupid.

No. And year 1 exotics don't drop as often so..

Not worth starting over if you're continuing to improve.
-
No keep going. You have a decent kd or make a poll
-
Your overall Kd will remain the same. The only Kd that will change is individual toon kd
-
People still care about kd in a game that's going down shit hill

1 AntwortenWhy? Its a meaningless number. Mine is still below 1.0 because I sucked at crucible when I started playing destiny and I also had 2 kids playing on my account before they got their own accounts. IDGAF. It's a video game. Video game stats are only meaningful if you have no life or self esteem.

You're trying too hard if you delete your character. Anyone who does that is trying to seem better than they probably are. And it will probably aggravate you when you die because clearly your k/d means so much to you.

You can bring it up. My Warlock was negative this time last year. I broke a 2.0 last month and it was very rewarding. Especially to hit that milestone on my original character, who has a ton of baggage. It's worth it to just stick it out. You'll get there eventually, just keep playing.

2 AntwortenI literally found a small time streamer do this. I noticed he had all 1.0 or .9 kd characters, then all of the sudden, he has a character with a 1.3 with the flawless emblem on it and I looked and it only had less than a day played on it, while the other 2 characters had 30 days or something on them. I never made fun of his kd, but I think others did. But he is nice and will at least try to help you with trials.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Dixon: 3/6/2016 12:52:48 PMWho gives a crap. I play with a guy who is top 300 in trials, elo 2350, overall kd 1.3, trials kd 1.5. KD is nonsense.

If you did delete and start over what benefit would your new kd bring? Yip, thought so :) don't do it to yourself man.

No. Waste of time.

1 AntwortenIf you're really good you can start over get 5 kills and leave a match. Then your kd would be 5.0 But in all seriousness it doesn't matter :)

4 AntwortenTbh I've been thinking about it, might you know ....

1 AntwortenIt's really up to you. My KD has gone from a 1.79 to a 1.95 in a matter of a couple months of trials.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Hiypher: 3/6/2016 9:55:18 AMI am EXACTLY the same way. I couldn't tell you how many times I've got invited by good people (really high kd/elo etc) and surprised them. But to answer your question... no. Don't do that. I thought about it myself. Decided I better not.
