It's insane how fast you guys get nostalgic. This was what, like 6 months ago? I don't get why some of you act like year 1 was some magical time, there was just as much bs and just as many of you complaining about every little thing along the way, feel like I'm taking crazy pills. jeez. I hated this song and I think the new one is a lot better.

I've played World of Warcraft for seven years and I'm not half as nostalgic for the content in the game in 2009 as people are about content that was still around in August 2015. Get some perspective, guys.
-
Every time I log in I don't want my ears blown out from DA DA DA DA DUM
-
Oh man people like you are everywhere. Guy tries to be positive about a song and you bring up something irrelevant just to be negative. Actually. Muted.
-
I also don't understand why people say when they are muting people. Is it because you don't want to have a discussion, you just want the first and last word? Is it to try to upset me? Try to teach me a lesson not to say what I want to say? Why not just mute the guy and move on with your life? Am I being negative? In a way but it's honest. It's also positive in a way, trying to say there's just as much to like in current Destiny. I'm certainly not being irrelevant. I guess you can't see this. Oh well, bye bye.
-
As far as I can tell it's usually an attempt at negative reinforcement. Such as "I found what you said to be so distasteful that I wish I could reprimand you for it...but I can't....so...muted." Also a lot of people seem to just throw it out there when they're losing an argument. Much in the same regard that Donald Trump threatens to sue people. As for your original comment, I don't get nostalgic when I play Destiny. I get nostalgic when I hook up my Super Nintendo.

If he was trying to upset you, it worked.
-
A little bit I guess yea, but honestly I couldn't care less.

Bearbeitet von SkyWatcher1600: 3/5/2016 9:59:30 PMyear one was full of BS. but is was FUN BS, that didnt demand everyone be a try-hard just to stay relevent, nevermind do well. most people play games to have fun, not have a second job.
-
How is that different from now? I play exactly how I've always played, except now I don't raid because I don't need to. I mean, come on guys, let's be honest here.
-
its different now, because its far less fun of a game. in PVP you MUST use about 1-3 stratagies or be masacred. not everyone likes sniping. the new raid is the only relevent one, even though a lot of people found crota and the vault a lot more enjoyable. the ToO try hards keep demanding the game be balanced around that one game type, ruining the game for the rest, by bitching about balance on the forums at best, actually getting bungie to rebalance things at worst. half the strikes are no longer available almost(find me a taken tot who even knew what a 'phogoth' was before being told by someone from year one) and of the ones that are, maybe 5 are in common rotation. many of peoples favorite weapons and gear now punish their user for using them, we lost much of what people found enjoyable in the name of this "expansion". now not all of it is bad. but we as a player base thought bungie learned their lesson about leaving behind old but good content from the TBD-HoW transition. the dissapointment is that clearly, they did not.

Bearbeitet von Maximalism: 3/5/2016 10:36:52 PMIf you're not having fun the way your playing it's your fault, play however way you want. I've used hand cannons/pulse rifles/auto rifles/shotguns since beta and have always done fine regardless of the "meta". Try hards have always been and will always be, that hasn't changed, maybe you've just become one of them and haven't yet realized? It would explain the lack of fun. If you had fun with vault of glass and crotas end you can still play them, they have not been removed. Neither have the old strikes, they were just moved to a different playlist, with new and better strikes being added.

*sigh* missed the point entirely.... whatever. have fun shitting on people for no reason then, i guess.
-
Bearbeitet von Maximalism: 3/6/2016 3:57:06 PMI'm not shitting on you I'm having a discussion, you don't need to be a baby about it, jeez. I didn't miss your point; you don't have fun with the game anymore because of all those reasons. You're missing my point; that except for HoW-TTK there is just as much relevant PVE content now than there ever was at one time, that there was a slew of improvements that came to the game with the expansion, and that all the old content is still there, you might not get relevant rewards, but they are fully intact and just as fun as your remember. Ultimately what I'm doing is trying to slap a little sense of reality into everyone. Like, are you kidding me with all this? Everyone put on those rose colored glasses real -blam!-in quick.
-
you have indeed missed the point because all that response missed it all and only reinforced the idea that you are unwilling to see it. as for "shitting on me" i agree you have not. you are however, doing it with everyone your trying to "slap a sense of reality". so they put on the rosey glasses fast. whats wrong with that? why the hell do you care? what do you get by trying to smash those glasses and ruin peoples fond memories of fun in a good game with good friends? -THAT- is what i mean by "shitting on people". your going out of your way to attack people for having fond memories with the game for the sheer sake of doing so. regardless of how good or bad that game may have been. its not cool man.
-
Bearbeitet von Maximalism: 3/6/2016 7:46:47 PMI'm not attacking anyone, I'm discussing my thoughts on the topic that's being discussed here, if my thoughts aren't the same as the majority then so be it, but I'm sure there are many people that would agree with me. The problem I have with this is, go through the comments, so many people saying "the magic is gone", "it's not what it used to be", "make Destiny great again" etc. These are the same people that complained about everything in year 1, and who's opinions are going to influence this series in the future. They are wrong, their memories are clouded, they don't know what they want, Destiny is mostly better now than it ever was, and I am going to tell them this. So whatever man, ya it's been real uncool I guess.
-
Lol, agreed... New strikes=Good for normal and heroic, horrible for nightfall. I mean everyone within the game uses MIDA, Doctrine of Passing, 1000 Map Crossing Stare, Hawksaws, or others; I'm forced to use MIDA during Iron Banner and Trials, and I'm apparently punished for attempting to use Y1 weapons in Y2( I don't have Thorn, so....) in normal clash.
-
When this game actually meant something though that's why. That song reminds of good times not people crying for nerfs, running out of content and what not
-
Did you even play during year 1? Because crying for nerfs and running out of content was year 1 to a tee.
-
Year 1 also brought us Dinklebot, Exotic Bounties (so we actually EARN some of those exotics), VoG, Crota (along with Black Hammer), Thorn, Icebreaker, Gjallahorn Madness, and Efferdiet's Spear(Best Iron Banner Sniper)... Year 2's would never feel the same thing that us Destiny veterans had felt.
-
Bearbeitet von Maximalism: 3/5/2016 11:27:37 PMI'm not saying year 1 was bad, I love this game. I'm just saying I have a realistic memory of it, that's not clouded by premature nostalgia. There are many exotics to be earned also in TTK, there are also many other good weapons in TTK, and there are still all those old ones. There is also infusion, Kings Fall, much better strikes, the dreadnaught, a better story, quests, limited time events, all on top of the old content that is still available and just as fun, if not relevant.

Bearbeitet von RolltideJB77: 3/5/2016 11:26:30 PMIf we are talking tee shirts I like the color blue. If we are talking golf tees I like Nike plastic ones. But I agree year one was nothing but nerfs and whiners, you hit that point to a "T".
