We had a good run. The comments on this post started out as a solid intellectual debate about the mechanics of trials, with many good points made both for and against my opinion. It was nice to see people actually thinking about and discussing an issue. Unfortunately it has devolved and the only replies i am still recieving are either complete rejection of my opinion with no argument to back themselves up, or blatant insults.
Thank you everyone who had a logical argument and was willing to be civil and mature, even those of you who dissagree with me. To the rest of you, i hope you find something to warm your cold hard souls lol.
Good day!

1 AntwortenIt's all the forums are anymore. just people looking to troll or argue. 1/14 replys will accually be someting worth reading. closing your post though, that means those people win. don't let the hate get you down.

I agree, Fusion Rifles deserve a buff.
-
I agree, we need more rewards from Trials for sure.
-
1 AntwortenYou are forgetting that your first loss is forgiven, and you can just go get a new card and try again. No one is hurt from a loss, if you do feel "hurt" over a loss, your taking the game too seriously. Now onto what I believe should be changed about trials: Scorecard should only go to 8 wins. Upon reaching 8 wins flawless, you should receive an item called "Passage to the Lighthouse". Upon flying into the Lighthouse you are match with another 8-0 team. You fight at the entrance to the lighthouse, winner gets to enter and claim their reward, loser goes home crying.

1 Antworten"You receive no rewards after going flawless", I don't believe that to be true, examples of rewards would be, ships, shaders, ghost, scarab emblem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't these be post game drops even if you've already gone flawless? I don't know for sure cause I've never gone to the lighthouse.

Bearbeitet von xxJOE NUKEMxx: 3/8/2016 5:08:20 PMIf you get carried through trials, specially if you pay to get to the lighthouse. You know you're no good. So I hope when you're shredding through guardians in the crucible with your new Doctrine, you cringe and sh!t yourself a little bit. You deserve it scrub. Keep scrubbin! (Not meant for OP. Meant for the ones on the shoulders of others.)

1 AntwortenI'm happy there are people that are willing to help others out, whether it's with raids or trials or whatever. And I rarely play against a streamer (that I'm aware of). And even if I did, I would be excited for it, not moaning on the forums about it.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von L0neWolfShadow: 3/8/2016 4:50:07 PMMy question is why do so many of you try to go flawless if you know you cannot do it with your skills seems like an epic waste of time and effort tbh trials isn't worth any of the stress you endure while playing so why not do something more enjoyable like the raid or play different game rather than kill your self to do trials
-
Op is sick of losing at trials and getting kicked out because of losses on his card. Op wants bungie to fix this so op can fit in
-
-
Yeah but how many of those people need help going flawless or haven't went?
-
1 AntwortenComing from someone who carries. I don't do it because I'm kind or because I want to be a beacon in the dark for someone who can't figure out what the discipline stat does. I do it because it adds challenge to an otherwise easy game. I feel bad everytime I get an undeserving to the lighthouse but its that or play sweats for challenges. And sometimes you just don't wanna sweat. I agree with the aspect of you shouldn't be able to be carried. Do I agree with your fix? No the Idea of sbmm repulses me. Trials should be pure connection based matchmaking, that way the strong survive with the weak broken beneath them.

Finish trials on Friday: get guaranteed 320 drop (think of it as a challenge mode, all the top players will try to fight it out, and if you can't play on Friday guess you're out of luck) Finish on Saturday: 320 drop chance @25% rate Sunday: 320 @10% Monday 320 @1% or lower After getting flawless you can keep on playing, teams who lose to you will not count as a loss on their score card (but they don't know until after the match is over, to keep the fight going), any team with one flawless player can't advance or make it to the lighthouse as their wins don't count. To avoid abuse of the system (getting a flawless card but not turning it in until later to carry people) once your card is flawless you're done, doesn't matter if you turn it in or not, your next match won't count to your fireteam or enemies, but you still get post match drops like the scarab.

No mercy!
-
You are right. Unfortunately, it is what it is.

Vast majority of twitch streamers are annoying in general and spam the trials recruitment posts. "Hey stop by my stream if you want to go to the lighthouse!!!!.............................. ....................... ....................... .............................................. Disclosure paying subscribers or donators get first preferences though! But in no way do I hope to pressure anyone into donating but all donations will be welcomed! :) "

11 AntwortenBearbeitet von Inclement Karma: 3/7/2016 8:40:06 PMYou're assuming that anyone doing carries would otherwise not play at all. If that's not true, it pretty much tubes your entire argument. Edit: looks like it's already been said, but someone's just pissed they can't compete.
-
Bearbeitet von Benzene21: 3/7/2016 8:36:50 PMThey are helping and hurting people. No everybody can win. The success of some is the failure of others. That's how competitive play is. It's the truth. Without carries, people would still fail because guess what, someone has to lose in order for someone to win, and this is true carries or no carries.
-
3 AntwortenLet them carry or do whatever they want. At the end of the day it's all for fun, and I'd rather have tough competition in trials. Are you saying you don't want people keeping you from going flawless? Sounds like you just want your loot every week.
-
2 AntwortenThose twitch streamers play and carry for one REASON $ MONEY! I don't watch or support twitch streamers at all to old for that con game. There is this one kid that charges 15 to get into a raffle for a carry. These twitch streamers preying on weaker players for $. bungie should step up and curb this.

I wish for a 6v6 trials with revives. Only 3 revives per person per round.
-
My friend participates in one of those Raffles - $10 buy in - he's won twice, and gone to the Lighthouse twice. Good for him, his money, and he got to the Lighthouse Both times. Me, I refuse to pay someone to carry me anywhere. If I'm going to get there I will do it myself. It's not a scam per say, but it's ridiculous that you pay someone for a CHANCE to grab onto their coattails, for another CHANCE to get you to the Lighthouse for crap that's going to be irrelevant in a couple months. I baffles the crap out of me.

8 AntwortenThey should have team/clan based trials for try hards and separate random matchmaking trials for non try hards. Problem fixed.
-
But it's more fun to kick people out, and besides, they have the mercy boon, they'll be fine

15 AntwortenI stopped playing most competitive gaming since twitch became popular, the way a lag switch works is by mimicking a upload to slowdown everybody's connection which is essentially what twitch does
