7 AntwortenI think the whole idea of "Friend Zoned" is a bit cultural... For instance I grew up in the bible belt so most of the Women I met went to some kind of a church or another. It wasn't uncommon for Women to practice chastity until they got married...At the same it was more prevalent for Men to announce their attentions like getting married. One of the side effects of this is most couples were married by the age of 21, but also many of them have stayed married 10+ years since then.. (It almost seemed like a real life Archie comic lol) Fast forward to today where things like chastity are almost extinct, and he opposite is the norm. I can't help but feel people especially women are a lot more picky about making a long term commitment to someone. Which results in people getting friendzoned, where as someone strings along another person to give them support while they look for someone better. But like the old saying goes...nice guys finish last.

7 AntwortenI'll be honest in saying that I didn't watch the video. I'm not going to. I never watch the videos people post on here. With that aside, it seems like the three quotes you have selected from the video convey a general idea but not an exact exposition. You (or the video) are angry/upset/outspokenly vigilant that some men lament about being in relationships with women that aren't sexual despite the men's hopes that they will be. You see this as men's opinion that they see women only as sexual objects. I don't think that's exactly correct. I think that there are a certain percentage of people that only see the most enjoyable/important thing in life as sex with the other gender, and put that priority ahead of all others. It seems that this percentage is more often male than female. Also, there is likely a smaller percentage of people that only see the opposite gender as for sex. I believe this is most likely a combination of sexual urges and paranoia not making them trust anyone that is not incredibly similar to them, gender included. The cries of "men in the friend zone" I believe are far louder than the actual size of those affected. If you happen to be a male, and are in a favorable relationship with a female, she will likely be oblivious to your interest in sexual activity with her, unless you tell her. This should not come as a surprise. Sex is a consenting act of recreational or procreational value between adults, there is no owing it or necessarily deserving of it. Thinking that someone owes you something like that is a misunderstanding of an act of affection. Additionally women are sometimes, rarely, "friendzoned" by men as well.
