If he were a company spokesman, with the job of getting the community to hear the company's voice, I'd say sure. He'd be a glorified scapegoat. But as community manager, with the job of getting the company to hear the community's voice, he doesn't seem to be doing so well.
-
Yes he is doing his job well. If by well you mean being restrained by Activision and not being allowed to say anything we want to see.
-
He's just a corporate mouthpiece. His job is to regurgitate whatever his boss tells him to onto to the internet. He spews their talking points on us every week, so yeah, he's doing a good job lol
-
Seems to me most of his job is selling tours and taking people round.
-
Urk was better.
-
Would you listen to these forums? More importantly, would you take the posts from this forum to your boss and say; here's what the people want. You'd look like a dammed fool, to the people signing your check.
-
2 AntwortenDoes his job wonderfully. You have no idea what he does behind the scenes. What info he passes on and doesnt. Lets not assume he is ignoring you.
-
I dont know if those weekly updates the right way to go to manage a community.... So no, since every week they have nothing new to say will thin out the community.
-
He's not in charge of what he can post in the "updates" so can't blame him for that. Would have like to see some more forum involvement though - on this site. As for bringing our feedback back to the HQ, there's something seriously wrong with that procedure. They are either not listening to him or he's only bringing forward the things he and his buddies think are important.
-
What else is he supposed to do. Im sure they give him a script to follow with alot of nda to sign as well.
-
His job as nothing to do with listening and everything to do with taking a list of bullet points and turning them into a nice post. So yes, he is doing his job well, but his list of bullet points has gotten pretty boring lately. Also, this community is beyond management.
-
Yes he listens but he is just a messenger and feed back guy he doesn't get to choose what they do or what they release he gets told to do his job and what to tell us and not want to tell us. Any1 that has a job knows what this is like your told to do stuff told not to do and even if you like it or not if you want to keep your job you have to do it

Bearbeitet von Weekend Zombi: 2/26/2016 8:18:03 AMMan I hope I never have a job that causes me to receive as much unwarranted shit and hate as DeeJ does from this shithole.
-
1 AntwortenHe says what he's allowed to say. Which unfortunately for the last couple of months is very little :(
-
It must be hard for deej because he can see all the stuff they are working on but can't say a word until he is given the ok. I wouldn't be able to do it. I doubt most of the people who bash him could do it.
-
You kids ever heard of "don't shoot the messenger"? He can relay all he wants, if they ain't listening, it isnt his fault
-
He's the worst community manager I've ever seen.
-
That's just a title. He doesn't do anything with the community. Title should be "guy that makes announcements/hate sponge"
-
He still works for bungie?
-
3 AntwortenLet's shoot the messenger, that'll solve everything!
-
You don't even know what the guys job description is
-
I'm sure he is trying to keep us informed as much as he can. He is just a messenger. Idk why people are always looking for someone to blame.
-
Do you understand that Deej's job is not to listen to every single persons comment, it's also not to acknowledge people's comments, his job is to communicate to the developers on what the community are saying, just because you don't see him replying doesn't mean he isn't listening.
-
2 AntwortenThere is a big difference between listening and Bungie deciding to add it. DeeJ can listen and relay info back and forth all day long, but if the devs/board don't want to do it, it won't get done. DeeJ is not at fault.

Bearbeitet von cobaltcrimson1: 2/26/2016 4:08:14 AMThe main problem is that the management at bungie refuses to listen as they're all professional suits who just want to see a profit and don't give a damn about quality. Sadly this is happening all over the game industry as the older folks who started it all retire. Bungie ignores him and Cosmo if they even really tell Bungie what's going on. Why anyone would want to be a community manager at a game company i don't know considering it's all a propaganda tool to make people think the companies give a damn.
